Hello, I'm MrOllie. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added, because it seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Dear MrOllie! Let me make clear:

1) Canon EOS 7D sells now for less than 1500 USD, $1699 was the retail price on announcement (2009!!! it's very long time in digital equipment). The link I provided contains ACTUAL prices for this equipment (I'm kindly asking you to check Amazon, JR etc for actual prices).

2) The link to Canon macro lenses ranking also contains valuable information (for example, who have an idea that Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS II is almost a macro lens?!) and I didn't see any similar table in both: Wikipedia and the whole Internet.

I have acquainted with the rules you linked me and I still think that my corrections were in accordance to those guidelines.

Please comment on that.

The website to which you link contains affiliate links, and is essentially promotional. Also, any information regarding pricing on WP should be for list price (MSRP), not street price. Mindmatrix 21:25, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

So? DPReview, Imaging-resource etc. also contains affiliate links but there are tons of links from wiki to those sites. Affiliate programs is the main food for the review sites and this is normal - otherwise we'd have less or even NO sites with valuable information at all.

Besides there are no rules prohibiting to link to such sites (or you can point me in the right place where it was prohibited? I didn't find anything like this).

About the pricing: check the official Canon site: (http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_7d) the estimated price of 7D shown as $1499!

Are you suppose that the pages I linked to contains no valuable information?
