Userpage design[edit]

Hi there, congrats on the mop :)

I've known about your keen interest in userpages, so I thought I might pass along a request. Abstract Idiot asked me if I could do a page for him similar to Tawker's; upon review that's too complex for my meager knowledge of HTML. Could you give me a hand in giving the user a hand? If you're too busy, I'm open to hear of other users that may help. Thanks, Teke 03:17, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Hoax CSD'ed?[edit]

With regards to this deletion: Your deleting Raleighgon as "hoax" was strange, given that the CSD tag was for non-notable group. The author re-created it, but since this is not an article about either a group or a hoax, I've prodded it instead. Please note that hoaxes are not CSD candidates. Unless, perhaps, they admit unambiguously that they are, in which case you might treat it as test page or vandalism (creatively interpreted). 03:54, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Sometimes, if an article goes to a quick AfD and it gets a lot of "delete as hoaxes", it can usually lead to an early closure. — Deckiller 03:57, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
My apologies for the unclear summary. I intended to delete it under G1 as nonsense, after an exhaustive research on the article's contents. If I was wrong, then I beg you to consider this a mistake from a newbie admin - nothing more. Thank you! Phaedriel The Wiki Soundtrack! - 04:10, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

When there is an infinite amount of WikiLove on Wikipedia...[edit]

...ah...they say:

The trees grow tall,
The leaves grow green -
The Satin Starlight shines within...

Isn't it simply wonderful to be a Wikipedian?

I hope your volunteering here will continually keep you happy and healthy! :-) Best regards, --HappyCamper 04:30, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi Phaedriel, thanks for the lovely personalised card. I can only wish you best of luck when I think that you have to do this almost 280 times.

On another note, you temporarily blocked user:Yob egroeg earlier today. Thought I'd let you know that he seems to be a sockpuppet of WatchtowerJihad from this edit [1], not to mention his edits to his bete noire user:Ambuj.Saxena's page -- Lost(talk) 04:34, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

LMK if you want some help investigating this, I just did some sockpuppet tagging earlier today. ++Lar: t/c 20:50, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

I convey my congratulations to you on the great support of the wiki-community which you command. All the best! --Bhadani 17:11, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Can you also translate my name in Cherokee please! Thanks Phaedriel Abdullah Geelah 17:31, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Is Image:DVDs-On-The-Run-Logo.jpg the same image you just speedied? User:Zoe|(talk) 00:48, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the hug. I needed it.  :) User:Zoe|(talk) 01:51, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

I apologize[edit]

My current IP was the IP of the guy who insulted you and Native Americans. His IP was Now it is mine. His message was also an insult to me, I am 1/8 Delaware Indian. His message was rude and racist. --Yancyfry jr 02:49, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you. But frankly, I don't know much about my heritage. I may just do some research. --Yancyfry jr 03:02, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

thank you for thank-you[edit]

Phaedriel, thank you so much for the personalized thank-you card; that was incredibly sweet and I really appreciate it. I'm so glad that we have you. I think your RfA has made people happy because it demonstrates both your natural authority and our wisdom in recognizing it. I definitely look forward to being your friend. --Allen 04:06, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

I kindly ask you to remove this photo from your userpage. The problem with this image is that it is from a website called Flags of the World, which I am an editor of. Our (FOTW) staff/my bosses has asked that their images be removed from Wikipedia ASAP. I am sorry for having to do this, but the image will be deleted soon. However, I will do what I can to make an SVG image of it, given some time. Thanks for you understanding. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 04:32, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Here is your SVG image: Image:Flag of the Comanche Nation.svg. I am going to tweek it every now and then to make it accurate, but I hope you enjoy it. And since this is in the public domain, it can be used anywhere on Wikipedia for any purpose, including your userpage. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 21:48, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
I am glad you enjoy the image. I have fixed some allignment issues, and I will probably do more soon. I am also humbled by the message you left on my talk page. It felt like high school all over again *blush*. User:Zscout370 (Return Fire) 01:34, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Congratulations on your promotion! There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that you will be an outstanding administrator in every respect; and I feel truly honored that you would count me as a friend.

(I started a new section here because trying to wind my way through the dozen or so sections devoted to this topic is something of a mess. Might I suggest the services of Werdnabot for your talk page?) Kirill Lokshin 04:51, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Excellent User Page Award[edit]

I award you this Excellent User Page Award not only for having one of the most beautiful, detailed and insightful userpages on the Wiki, but also for all your work in helping other users improve theirs. Killfest2Daniel.Bryant 05:20, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

On becoming an admin, keep up the good work! Stubbleboy 05:52, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

I can't thank you enough for the beautiful, thoughtful card! I know you will be a great mop-wielder, and I wish you the best of luck. Congratulations again. --Merovingian - Talk 10:29, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

books and films[edit]

Cactus man set up a similar page for films and I thought it was so awesome an idea, I did it for books... here are the cross links...

The book one needs a bit of work please feel free to edit. Each one crosslinks to the other two three now. ++Lar: t/c 14:04, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

note... there is a new one now! User:Lkjhgfdsa/Wikipedian_Gamebox This is cool. ++Lar: t/c 17:42, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
hey I hope it's OK that people piggybacked on your idea! ++Lar: t/c 01:15, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Well good, glad you found it flattering. (you can answer here, I have this on watch)... see you around!!!! A big hug to you as well, Queen of Wikipedia. ++Lar: t/c 01:37, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Your RfA[edit]

You had an RfA? Oh! Apparently it turned out well, so congratulations! :) I'm sorry I couldn't have done anything; I was on vacation in Canada. (And I still am- I'm in London! Well, congratulations on your spot! Have a nice day. :D Øřêōş 15:11, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Congratulations from me, too. I had been under the impression you were an admin all along, and sorry I missed your RfA. You could have very well found yourself in the position of being asked for advice before your tenure. :) I sent you an email; the last one I sent failed to go through, so let me know if it's still broken! - Samsara (talkcontribs) 17:57, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey, thanks![edit]

That was sweet! Thanks! Especially welcome because of all the trolls who have visited my page recently; I appreciate nice messages. I'm happy to see the results of your RFA, and I'm not a bit surprised it turned out as well as it did! Happy editing and adminning, Antandrus (talk) 18:17, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome[edit]

Thank you for your card. I really appreciate it. Seeing as how wonderfully designed your user space is and how sweet your signature looks, I'm pretty sure you'll make for a pretty good admin, perhaps the best admin since Katefan0. Editor88 18:54, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

An interesting article[edit]

have you reviewed this article lately? Gmail? ++Lar: t/c 00:32, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the card![edit]

I'll admit, that somehow I'd never seen you around prior to your RfA, but supported you based on the reccommendation of about 100 others at the time. Yet for just my little support without even a message, you've left a customized card and whole personal message. Now I can see why everyone likes you so much, I'm glad I did support you. Anyway, congratulations! -Goldom ‽‽‽ 20:29, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

And from me - you've brightened my day ! Congratulations and have fun with the tools - Peripitus (Talk) 21:21, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

You're welcome![edit]

I have to say that your message truly made my day. :) I believe the man is an Adjarian folk dancer. See also his buddies. Cheers, and thanks again for your kind words! —Khoikhoi 20:48, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Oh. My. Goodness.[edit]

That was the most blush-inducing thank you letter in the history of ever. I, in return, would like to thank YOU for the kind words you left on my talk page; lately I've been feeling a bit unloved, mostly because I left for a few months, and who the heck would remember someone who left? :P Thank you so much for lifting my spirits on a day where I am completely emotionally drained and needed some batteries!

Also, you're welcome for your RfA. You completely and totally deserved adminship and I would've gone Very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very accept... but I kinda think that would've been a bit huge. But you really really really really do deserve your adminship, and you'll do a great job at it, I just know it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mo0 (talkcontribs) 17:23, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for my thank you card![edit]

Many congratulations on what must surely be the most successful vote of confidence for adminship in recent history! Your words are very kind and have swept a joyful smile on to my face and deep inside, too. To have someone with the ability and track record of yourself say that they look up to me is high praise indeed - I thought that it was the other way around! Please don't hesitate to let me know if you need any assistance with your new powers - I will be happy to do what I can. Well done, go wisely and keep spreading love!  (aeropagitica)   (talk)    21:29, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Could it possibly be another thank you?[edit]

User:Ta bu shi da yu once said I was one of the nicest wikipedians they had ever met. However, compared to you, I am as nice as a plague-quarantined, venomous spider-filled landmine zone patrolled by angry guard dogs that shoot killer bees from their mouths. (How about that for a phrase you rarely see in thank-you notes?) Your RfA thank you notice was so wonderful, the candy I was eating tasted less sweet. Thank you so much!!! ... (100,000 omitted !) ...!!! RyanGerbil10(The people rejoice!) 02:29, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Congrats on the adminship! It got a little sketchy there for a bit; we weren't sure if you were going to pass or not ;-) Thanks for the kind words in the thank you note and on the talk page of your RfA—it makes me feel great to know that others appreciate my work. And of course, when you're ready to give FAC a go, give me a holler: I'd be glad to help out. Your friend, Spangineeres (háblame) 03:31, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Talkpage backlog[edit]

That's so awesome that you actually have a talkpage backlog ^_^ By the way, good idea making admin issues a seperate page — that will also help, since some new editors getting entangled with admins for making A7 articles tend to write their comments at random spots in the talkpage :) — Deckiller 03:46, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Sure, sounds good :) — Deckiller 03:54, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for watching my dog article while I'm (maybe) gone. I'm not going on vacation, the thing is, I am unfortuantely a teenager. No matter how much I intellectually know it's just hormones, some days I just don't (gasp!) feel like editing Wikipedia. Add that to the fact that my boss has a habit of calling and asking me to work extra hours with only minutes' notice, I sometimes disappear for a few days, only to come back and make 100 edits in an hour. The longest I've ever been too depressed happy angry existential working 60 hours a week occupied is, I think, four days. Thanks! RyanGerbil10(The people rejoice!) 04:57, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Congrats on adminship :) You'll be a great admin. Quarl (talk) 2006-08-07 07:26Z

actually I think she is not going to be able to whack vandals very hard, I am thinking of withdrawing my support... :) ++Lar: t/c 16:50, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
OK I was kidding, she's closing AfDs like crazy!! Closet deletionist I think... vandal whacking is overrated anyway. ++Lar: t/c 17:14, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

I believe I haven't properly congratulated you upon your adminship yet, have I? Therefore: pounce-hugs Congratulations! You deserve it more than most of the other admins on Wikipedia put together, in my opinion, including me, naturally. :)Nightstallion (?) 10:23, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Congratulations, & you're welcome![edit]

Congratulations on your 'sysophood', I'm sure you'll be a brilliant admin! Thanks for your beautiful words in my card too! See you around, — FireFox (talk) 10:27, 7 August '06

Hi, Thanks for the card and the beautiful words! ;) And congratulations!--Kungfu Adam (talk) 10:54, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

Yet more congrats[edit]

Dear Sharon (the second cutest admin on Wikipedia, after me of course :P). I was hoping to catch you on MSN to give you my congratulations but since that hasn't happened, here I am. I know you have a backlog so I'll keep mine short - you deserve it! --kingboyk 11:52, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

dude, she's SO cuter than you. ++Lar: t/c 19:21, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Didn't think you could refute that! ++Lar: t/c 23:11, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

More Congratulations, this one from South Africa :D[edit]

Hey Phaedriel, congratulations on your adminship! It is wonderful to see such a gifted and kind wikipedian join the ranks of admins, I'm certain you'll make a fantastic admin. We need more like you. :) Anyway, take care, and thanks for all the kindness you've passed on to me and others. All the best -- Banes 19:32, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

P.S. Sorry the congrats are somewhat belated, but this is Africa after all, only just got the news via the old bush-telegraph. :P

I don't think we've ever met, but it's difficult to miss your many contributions to Wikipedia and frequent kind words to other editors.I was so pleased to see that you'd been made an admin - I know you'll do an excellent job!- Tapir Terrific 00:05, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Now an admin[edit]

Well, what hasn't been said of your recent successful RfA? I wish I could say "congratulations" without it sounding remotely similar to a cliché and I'm sorry I could not extend my congrats to you earlier, but I was at my family reunion, far away from a computer, from 4-6 August. Sadly and also very regrettably, I missed your birthday as well. Consider this a multi-purpose comment and substitute the other some-260 supports as a substitute for my own. Aaрон Кинни (t) 02:20, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. Aaрон Кинни (t) 02:52, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your thanks[edit]

Hi Sharon,

Wow, your RfA thank you message was a true and unexpected pleasure! It really put a smile to my face that you, the very soul of friendliness and warmth, would look up to me and talk about my own. Thank you very much, it means a lot to me that someone as renowned (and supported!) as you would notice a little WikiGnome such as myself. :-) And thank you for the kind thoughts on my son. He is fine now; there was nothing serious with him, he's just very weak and tired right now. But thank you for your kind thoughts, and thank you especially for making my day. I'm sure we'll talk more again, and I'm glad that you consider me a friend. :-) --Deathphoenix ʕ 03:01, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

I don't know how to block someone's IP. --Yancyfry jr 03:11, 8 August 2006 (UTC) Oh nevermind.
