Georgia Populations Estimates

[edit]

Hi Phantomsku. I noticed that you have been adding 2005 census stats to Georgia counties articles. I am not questioning the accuracy of the information, but can you tell me where you got it from? I am a resident of Walker County, and I was interested in more recent data. Prometheus-X303- 22:19, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Got your reply. Thanks, and happy editing! Prometheus-X303- 23:07, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Same deal here as above. I'm happy to have new data, but I'd like to reference it. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 16:15, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I got my info from the Census Website, under the Estimates Category. Then selected counties, folowed by selecting Florida. [1]. I'm super new to this, not sure if this is how I respond or not. you can reference it if youd like. I'm just a pop freak and wanted to update these places. You got responding to someone right. I like to thoroughly reference things, especially if it's a new article. There are people on WP that will {{prod}} or {{speedy}} delete any new articles you write because they're "not notable" unless they have a billion sources :( ... I've actually had a new article I've made deleted while I was editing it, maybe a minute after I'd made it. Talk about frustrating. So, yeah, references are the only tool you have to combat excessive deletionism. See WP:CITE (and my favorite method of doing so, WP:FOOT) for more on how to use them. If you have any other questions or need help, just ask me :) —Disavian (talk/contribs) 19:53, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Formatting

Just wanted to ask: when you're converting to the 2006 data, could you please use the <ref> and </ref> tags? Thanks! Nyttend 13:18, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
