[edit]

Hi, I'm just noticing your new article Bonnie Bergin. The content seems to be fine, but the formatting is a bit bad. I will reformat the article to meet Wikipedia standards. Olly150 18:23, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, looking at your article, there may be a few problems. Firstly, it is too long. Secondly, it reads like an autobiography. If it is an autobiography, then that is copyrighted material most likely. I'm going to put a few tags on it, and hopefully your article will be sorted out.Olly150 18:31, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oly?

[edit]

I'm not sure how to email you. But thanks for your help.

I asked Bonnie Bergin to tell me about her life. This was not lifted from any books. I need to add pictures, but am not sure how. Can you help?

Sure, to contact me, leave a message on my talk page. I leave a message on uploading pictures on your page Olly150 01:06, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia articles, such as those you made to Bonnie Bergin, even if your ultimate intention is to fix them. Uploading files to Wikipedia

[edit]

When uploading pictures to Wikipedia, they must be either:

  • free of copyright (e.g. If you have taken the pictures)
  • or have express permission to use a copyrighted photo

To upload a file, click here. If the photo is free of copyright, click the first link (entirely my own work), and simply follow the instructions, giving a full description in the boxes. If the photo is copyrighted, click the 2nd link (the work of someone else.....). This is a little more complicated. You must send a letter from the owner to the address given, releasing the work under a free copyright (so it can be used on wikipedia). This is all explained on those pages. The first option is best however. If you talk with Bonnie Bergin, you can retreive a photo, and release it freely using the first link, to save any hassle. When you have successfully uploaded the image, you have to place a link on the infobox on the Bonnie Bergin page (I added this recently). If you need help with this, just write a message on my talk page. Hopefully this will help - don't hestitate to leave a message. Remember to sign your posts on talk pages by entering four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the signature icon. (10th button accross) This will automatically produce your name and the date.Olly150 01:21, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page tags

[edit]

Hi. Just wanted to say that if you can fix all the problems outlined by the tags at the top of the page, you'll have a good article. The main problem now is that it is far too long. It really needs to be cut down. Administrators are never happy to see a long article. Also, please link some notable words in your article to their relevant pages e.g. [[San Jose State University]] = San Jose State University OR, if you want to link to another article, that may not be the same name - [[United States of America|American]] = American. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Book Cover of Bonnie's 1st book, 1995.JPG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Book Cover of Bonnie's 1st book, 1995.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:35, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BerginLogoColor.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

The following images also have this problem:

I erased the Bonnie Bergin Wiki page because in fact, she wrote the article herself & paid me to put it up on the web site. I left my employment by my own free will due to differences in regards to ethics. I believe that her non-profit is now being investigated for fraudulent fundraising.
