One for Sorrow

[edit]

I've removed your text again until we have discussed it

Toronto-based singer Laurel MacDonald uses several variants and elaborations of the rhyme extensively in her song "A Wing And A Prayer", substituting crows for magpies.

  • She isn't linked to a Wikipedia article, nor is her song, no evidence that it meets the notability guidelines. What an obscure singer does isn't encyclopaedic.
  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines
  • it's particularly important to have references if the song appears to be about crows, rather than magpies, to verify its origins
