@MathXplore Hello, I am very sorry to know that the account is a sockpuppet and has been or is under investigation at enwiki. At the time I changed the name of that account, I checked whether the account was banned or not, but in fact on I did not see any ban notice on the global account listing page and on the rename tool in the "banned" line also said "no" then I confirmed that everything was fine and clicked to accept the name change. Currently, the global account rename has been canceled by a steward and the account has been globally banned. Once again, I am very sorry for the above incident and take this as a lesson to gain experience of changing global member names. —Pminh141 ^{[ Talk ]} 04:47, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
