Names of communities
[edit]Take a look at Wikipedia:Canadian Wikipedians' notice board/List of undisambiguated communities. Generally Canadian communities should be at the "name" rather than "name, something". So you get London, Ontario and Edmonton for the places in Canada. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 18:34, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

- In this case I was following the convention for other neighbourhoods in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. If you take a look at Woodlawn, Nova Scotia, or Westphal, Nova Scotia, they follow the same convention. Would Tam O'Shanter Ridge not require the province afterwards, since there are no other pages to confuse it with? Prototeutonic (talk) 18:51, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- That's correct. Dartmouth, Woodlawn and Westphal all require it as there are other places with the same name and the Canadian places are not the main one. On the other hand Edmonton, Alberta is the primary link over the older Edmonton, London. I trend to move places as I see them but don't really look for them. If you do move one from "town, province" to "town" yo can, if you want but it's not required, log it at Wikipedia:Canadian Wikipedians' notice board/List of undisambiguated communities.
