National Varieties of English

[edit]

Hello Psiri. Just fyi, this wasn't actually a grammatical mistake in British English, in which this particular page seems to be written (see MOS:ENGVAR). Cheers, 31.49.13.239 (talk) 13:01, 6 February 2015 (UTC), previously 86.174.50.88[reply]

The correction, which attempts to rephrase a dangling modifier, includes that necessary change. The same can be said about the difference between who and that. The sentence either needs to be rewritten or properly punctuated, but is not good as it is.
A dangling modifier... hum, where? But have it your own way, anyway... Ciao, 31.49.13.239 (talk) 16:15, 6 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The sentence makes it unclear whether it was the founders or the Christians Democrats who dominated. In this instance, it is not a matter of style, but rather grammar. I'm not interested in having it my way but rather with making the article better than when I first encountered it. Psiri (talk) 16:26, 6 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thanks. 31.49.13.239 (talk) 17:56, 6 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there! I think after reading a good deal of how-to information about Wikipedia, it seems that it takes two to edit war. Let's use the talk page of the article to determine the best way to move forward. A lot of the article suffers from run on sentences, and the style is jilted and awkward to read. I can appreciate if you've written a good portion of the article and I appreciate these contributions. However please be open to possible improvements of the article that add depth and clarity.

Psiri, you are invited to the Teahouse!
