Request reason:
I have already asked to be unblocked and was denied, so I am asking again since I am new to the whole wikipedia editing. I thought me writing back on my talk page would be enough of a response, but apparently user Jimfbleak didn't get my response. I am hoping it works this time, and I apologize in advance if I am not communicating properly when it comes to this situation. I have already said that I would eliminate all the promoting from the article I had posted earlier on Murray Brand Communications and I will even send it in to be read (if possible) before posting again. I want to do this in the correct way and not lose my privilege as an user. I am not here to promote or advertise, just simply here to add another article based off of a company in an encyclopedic appropriate way. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. FYI I may not respond until Monday if there is any feedback because I am making this article at work and will be out of town for the weekend. My apologies if my response is late. Decline reason:
You will not be unblocked in order to write about your employer -- and yes, doing so is promotion regardless of the content of the article. MER-C 01:42, 11 July 2015 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Decline reason:
- The username change is not necessary, actually. We allow "<name> at <company>"-type usernames, provided the <name> is that of a person and not a department. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 18:03, 2 July 2015 (UTC)
Oh okay. If I can keep the name, then all I am asking is to be unblocked. Thanks. R.J. at Murray Brand Communications (talk) 20:05, 2 July 2015 (UTC) Here are a few key questions:
- Do you understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and not a business directory?
- Do you understand conflict of interest?
- Do you understand that to be considered for an encyclopedia article, the subject must be notable?
You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Diannaa (talk) 10:45, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
Yes I understand that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. I honestly followed a format of a different design company called Duffy & Partners, who has an article here on Wikipedia. And I was told my username is fine. It has a name with a company, which is said to be allowed. I originally just had Murray Brand Communications, but now I have a name in front of this username which was approved for change, so I am a little unclear of what you are trying to say Diannaa. It says I am blocked for my advertising and promotion of a company (which are not my intentions) and not blocked based off my username. I have already agreed to keep the promoting out of my article if I am unblocked. If there is some way I can send it for approval before posting, I would gladly do that as well. And like I said before, if I do not need to change my username from R.J. at Murray Brand Communications to R.J. at MBC (like user Jéské Couriano mentioned above) then I wish to keep the username I have. I just thought this was the process of becoming unblocked was requesting a new username as well as my reasoning. R.J. at Murray Brand Communications (talk) 17:49, 6 July 2015 (UTC)

Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because... I would like to create a page about a company I am currently working at called Murray Brand Communications. I felt that I left the point of view neutral. There isn't wording that expresses feelings. It's merely just about the company and it lists the type of work they do and some of their clients they have done work for. I have already put in a request to change my username and have gone to check if it's been approved but have yet to hear anything back as well. I do plan on changing the name so it is not primarily the companies name. I was unaware of the policy when I created the username in the first place. --Murraybrandcommunication (talk) 23:30, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- I don't see any username request, either current or in the archives. Also, still reads like a company advert, and inappropriate use of a userpage, per WP:UPNO and WP:UPYES. Joseph2302 (talk) 23:35, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]Maybe I didn't request the username correctly, but I thought I did. I'd be more than happy to change it to an appropriate one though. As far as the page reading like an advertisement, is there any way you could point out more specifically what triggers that? All I am trying to do is make a wikipedia article based on Murray Brand Communications. I had looked at a different design firm called Duffy & Partners and just tried doing exactly what they did for their page. Thank you for your help! --Murraybrandcommunication (talk)

Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because... I have put in a request to change the username and deleted a section from which I thought could been seen in a biased manner. I am unsure what to do from here. Please do not revoke my rights to editing. I am merely just trying to create an article based on a company called Murray Brand Communications. I am in no way shape or form trying to promote the business. If you read my earlier comment, you would know that I am only a bit confused as to what is expected. And yes I have read all the instructions on how to create my first article. All I am asking for is a reason as to why my article has promotion of advertising. Thank you for your help. --Murraybrandcommunication (talk) 00:05, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Why can't I edit Wikipedia?
Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.
- Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?
Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.
- What can I do now?
If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.
If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:
- Add the text
{{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}
on your user talk page. - Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
- Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
