Wayne Jones[edit]

Didn't realise what I'd put in my edit summary - I'd obviously never got the inside joke with Dwayne Wade. Thing is Wayne Jones is not a particular well known darts player and probably never will be, so I'd have no issue with starting up his article as Wayne Jones (darts player) - many dart player articles are set up thus. Could then do a disambig page for the two people. You'd have to judge whether Wade is commonly referred to as Wayne Jones, because US sports are not particular popular on this side of the Atlantic (or is that POV?!) so I haven't a clue... Seeking community input re standardizing baseball roster pages[edit]

Hi ... I'm leaving you this note because you recently made edits to one of the Major League Baseball roster pages. I've made a proposal for standardizing the format, structure and content of these pages here and would appreciate your input so that we may reach a consensus. Thanks. --Sanfranman59 06:18, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Owens closer for the Marlins?[edit]

I see that you identified Owens as the closer for the Marlins on their roster page. Aren't they going with a bullpen by committee? Four of their relievers account for the 6 saves by the team. I don't follow the team all that closely, but based on the way Gonzalez has spread the saves around, I assumed they don't really have a closer. --Sanfranman59 03:03, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the response. --Sanfranman59 06:23, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My Marlins roster edit[edit]

I apologize both for my edit and for my comment in the edit summary. I was unaware of the Benitez trade at the time, and thus thought my edit was obvious when the trade clearly changes things. I still shouldn't have been as smart ass, so I'm sorry.Chris Nelson 03:48, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Roster edits[edit]

I get my info from MLB.com, ESPN.com, CBS Sportsline and KFFL.com. Hope that helps.►Chris Nelson 02:24, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Florida Marlins Template[edit]

Hi.

I just wanted to make the Florida Marlins template more colorful, and I did not mean to remove anything from the Florida Marlins template. In fact I also did similar color changes in the Oakland A's template. I wonder why you would want to revert the edit to a more bland, montonous template format?

I just thought it kinda looked weird, so I changed it back. I didn't flag it for vandalism or anything of the sort. But yeah, it looks better after that last edit you did. --Rabbethan 16:43, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My Edits[edit]

Some of those charts I added were there previously BEFORE I KNEW ABOUT THEM. Why did u delete? That's messed up02:50, 12 February 2008 (UTC)02:50, 12 February 2008 (UTC)~~

I gave a clear reason to why I hid them yet you still put them back up. --Street20 (talk) 03:12, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But what about the tables that were on there BEFORE I ever saw them?Dshibshm (talk) 03:47, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well no one ever bothered to take it off for the offseason. It should not be there during the offseason. --Street20 (talk) 03:50, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Like Street20 said, they shouldn't be there. They are out-of-date. And until the season starts, they can't be updated because we can't use speculation in place of facts. So Street20 hid it so that we can easily bring it up and update it when the season starts. --Rabbethan 03:54, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jorge Sosa[edit]

Look at this that I copied and pasted from an mlb.com article:

Cox said Jorge Sosa has "tremendous power." The switch-hitter has a home run this season hitting right-handed. He likes the fact that Davies is capable of making decent contact, despite the fact he's hitless thus far. And, of course, he has seen John Smoltz deliver some key hits over the years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dshibshm (talkcontribs) 18:07, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've approved you. Good luck! ScarianCall me Pat 16:41, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, please give me your reasons why Francisco Aruca, Jorge Dominguez, Braulio Baez, Gustavo Leon and Roberto M. Pineiro should be removed from the Belen list of Notable Alumni? Callelinea (talk) 02:23, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Francisco Aruca is the owner of the largest travel agency that does business between US and Cuba, he is a former Cuban political prisoner that was sentenced to 30 years in prison when he was just 20 years old and he is a radio host.
  • Jorge I. Dominguez is a writer and Harvard professor.
  • Braulio Baez is the former chairman of a state agency the Florida Public Service Commission, appointed by the Governor of Florida and confirmed by the Florida Senate.
  • Gustavo Leon is the former chairman of the Florida Board of Medicine.
  • Roberto M. Pineiro is a judge elected county-wide numerious times.

and If you had read the 2 AfD on myself Alonso R. del Portillo you would know that what was decided is that at this moment the editors that voted in the AfD felt that at that moment their was not enough proff that I was notable enough for an article on myself in Wikipedia, but that I could be placed in other articles such as Pedro Zamora, Del Junco, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, etc.Callelinea (talk) 12:27, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Marlins game log[edit]

I've noticed you've been updating the Florida Marlins game log, but according to this discussion on Wikiproject Baseball, they decided to have all that info on the team's 2008 Season page instead. I inquired what would happen to all the templates, but no one has done anything about it, and it sounds like all the info will go back to the template after the season. I don't know why it can't be kept there now, but the others wanted it on the season page for "easier" updating. So instead of putting your updates in the Template that don't appear elsewhere, stick with the season page unless something changes. Anyway, thanks for keeping all the Marlins stuff current, and Go Fish! --Mtjaws (talk) 15:58, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter message[edit]

It has recently been brought to the attention of WP:PW that the newsletter is being to delivered to several users who have not been actively editing for several months. As a result, their talk pages have become increasingly large, unmanageable and slow to load due to a lack of archiving.

Possible removal of AWB access due to inactivity[edit]

Hello! There is currently a request for approval of a bot to manage the AutoWikiBrowser CheckPage by removing inactive users, among other tasks. You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
