Welcome[edit]

Hello, welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for your contributions on non-League football. You may be interested in joining the football WikiProject or the non-League taskforce. I noticed you seem to be preparing to create an article on New Villa so thought I should warn you that the club does not appear to meet the notability requirements for English clubs, i.e. having played in the FA Cup, FA Trophy or FA Vase, and that if you create the article, it will almost certainly be deleted. Just don't want you to waste your time, so you can perhaps spend it on doing something that won't be deleted. Happy to answer any questions you might have. Cheers, Number 57 13:54, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of football clubs[edit]

Hello. I see you've recently created some articles on clubs from the Central Midlands League. Unfortunately these fail our agreed notability standard. Only clubs that have played in the FA Cup, FA Trophy and FA Vase, or in a league that is currently at step 6 are deemed to be notable enough for an article. As a result, these articles are now going to be deleted. Cheers, Number 57 16:24, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Formatting[edit]

Thanks for your recent contributions to new articles. Just to let you know, there are several things you need to do to articles to make them compliant with Wikipedia guidelines. For instance:

You can copy all these features from other articles.

Regarding Folk House, there was already an articles on Blidworth Welfare F.C., so you should have added to that rather than creating an article at "Folk House" (I have redirected the article to the existing one).

With regards to Ripley Town F.C., why is there text in there about Retford Town? Cheers, Number 57 22:42, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, the 1894 foundation date does not appear to be true. Ripley Town were playing in the Derbyshire League from 1890 onwards (see league tables). Where did you get this from? Number 57 22:49, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Also, clubs need to follow the naming format "Randall Sports F.C./Randall Sports A.F.C." not simply "Randall Sports". Number 57 23:13, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

New articles[edit]

Please stop creating articles on football clubs that do not meet the notability criteria. Unfortunately this is wasting your time and other editors' time. If you ignore this message and continue to create such articles, then it's likely that your account will be blocked. Thanks, Number 57 23:27, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Warning[edit]

The text in your most recent article on Holbrook St. Michael's was copied and pasted from this website. This is a copyright violation and the article has been deleted as a result. You cannot copy and past from other websites – you have to write the text in your own words.

Considering this, and the fact that you have ignored the advice above regarding creating new articles and formatting, please consider this a final warning. If you continue to create articles on clubs that do not meet the criteria (which you were originally informed of in the first message on your talk page in February) and that are unformatted and copyright violations, I'm afraid you will be blocked from editing. Please take this on board. Number 57 10:56, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for repeatedly ignoring the advice to stop creating unferenced and unformatted articles on non-notable football clubs, or bothering to respond to any of the multiple messages.. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Number 57 11:27, 20 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
