If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rana Arslan Subhani requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Notability for performers

[edit]

Hi! I thought I'd explain why the page keeps getting deleted, since some of the prior notices don't go into a lot of detail.

Ultimately it's because you don't show where you, as a performer, have received enough or any coverage to show where you'd pass WP:PERFORMER. Existing as a performer will not make you automatically notable (WP:ITEXISTS), so you need to show where your work has received coverage via independent and reliable sources like newspaper articles. This coverage doesn't have to be in English, it just has to be in a place that would be considered a WP:RS. I will warn you, it's incredibly hard for musicians to pass notability guidelines on Wikipedia.

Other than that, it's really heavily discouraged for a person to write about themselves on Wikipedia because it makes it harder to write about one's self in a neutral fashion and it's also easier to take deletions more personally or to see more notability than there otherwise might be. I'll post a bit about that in a few moments. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 22:09, 7 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not write or add to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Blocked

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:42, 12 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • I feel slightly bad doing this, but I just don't see where you're here to do anything other than write about this person. I'm also concerned that despite your username, you seem to only write about this person as if he were a separate individual. I think it's likely that you're the person in question, given the general lack of coverage for this individual, but it's just something that added some weight to the block decision.
The basic bottom line here is that Subhani does not pass notability guidelines for performers. It's incredibly difficult for any given performer to pass notability guidelines, but especially so for people who just started performing this year and are still in their mid to early teens. If you're looking to spread awareness of yourself, Wikipedia is not the place to do this. I would instead recommend YouTube or Wikia, both of which have looser guidelines as to what can be posted. Wikipedia is not a place to launch your career and at this point in time any attempt to create an article would only end in said article's deletion because you have not received the necessary coverage. I know that this is hard to hear, but I want to be honest and up front with you in the here and now. It'd be nice if we could have a page for everyone, but it just doesn't work like that.
