Your article on Dunn Triplets

[edit]

I noticed your article because it showed up on a list of "articles with missing references". I had a quick go at fixing up the most obvious formatting problems, but I need to bring something more important to your attention.

Wikipedia will only host articles which provide enough evidence to show that they are what Wikipedia calls "notable". (Click on that highlighted word to see a full description of what it means.) If this article is to stay on Wikipedia, you (or somebody) will need to add citations to multiple independent sources showing the media and other coverage. You have made a start on that by your comments about media coverage, but they are not yet supported by any detailed references.

Before long, if the article stays as it is, then it is likely the administrators will consider whether it should be deleted - they delete between 1000 and 2000 articles each day.

I am not trying to discourage you, especially considering this is your first article. On the contrary, I am trying to point out what needs to happen in order to avoid the disappointment of seeing your work deleted.

You might also consider having another editor review your articles before publishing them: this article should really still be in your own user space until these issues are fixed. Keep that in mind for your next article . . . now that you have done one, Wikipedia can always use another helper! Gronk Oz (talk) 15:25, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion notice

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dunn triplets requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. MrBill3 (talk) 09:36, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
