Why my all contribution removed?

[edit]

Hello There! I have been edited 10 articles on Wikipedia. Some of them approved by reviews. But now I see my all contributions has been removed!! Why this happened?! Reddtimes 06:04, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I took a quick look through, and it looked like a mixture of problems, not all one thing. It's not uncommon for new editors to have trouble getting started. The tutorial linked in the welcome message below may help. Some of the issues related to content and style. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, which defines the type of content the articles contain and how it is presented. As you learn, you'll find it easier making edits that "stick".
Examples:
  • In this edit to Wireless repeater, the revert referenced WP:YOU and WP:NOTHOWTO. The latter is a core Wikipedia policy—a part of the definition of what Wikipedia is. We are an encyclopedia, not a how-to guide. WP:YOU refers to a matter of encyclopedic tone and style: Wikipedia does not address the reader directly ("you").
  • In this edit you tried to change the title of the article with the displaytitle template. That template is for cases where a title can't be correctly represented due to technical limitations. It's not for changing article titles. We do that by moving the page to the new title. Uncontroversial moves can be done by anyone, but any move that anyone might object to should be discussed on the article talk page first. The new paragraphs you added were not well written, and you deleted the "See also" section. If the edit hadn't had so many problems, another editor might have tried to help fix it. Not everything has to be well written on the first try. When an edit has a lot of different problems, though, editors will often just revert it rather than trying to fix it.
  • Looking at the revert of your edits to Router (computing): the first change you made in the article was a mistake. The correct word was actually internetwork, not "internet work". Some of the references you added were not very good. Others looked OK. I restored those.
  • In this edit, you started off on the wrong foot by deleting the lead sentence of the article, perhaps by mistake. The material you added was mostly promotional. We don't do that. Wikipedia is not an advertising medium. When we discuss topics, we discuss them in a neutral tone. Wikipedia doesn't express an opinion on anything; we may cite opinions published in reliable sources when needed. Listing all of ATT's plans with current pricing is out of our scope.
Keep trying, but pay attention to tone and style and stick to non-promotional content. Make smaller edits at first. Other editors will be happy to help you fix small problems, and you can then learn how to tackle bigger changes.--Srleffler (talk) 18:40, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Intermittent fasting. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Fasting is a topic about human health. Read WP:MEDRS - that describes the quality of sources needed for this topic. Zefr (talk) 20:43, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
