Kitty Kelley

[edit]

re "Kelley's publisher Lyle Stuart was later quoted saying "at the time I believed her shock-treatment story. Looking back, I feel I was had and the whole thing was a fable. I doubt that it ever happened. And knowing how she makes things up, I believe she was sure she could get away with it because no one would sue."[1]": Carpozi book is an unreliable source. Arturo A. Marroquin, in a Newsday 5/18/00 obit of Carpozi, quotes a former colleague of Carpozi as saying "He always took the best notes, but it turns out he embellished a lot of the facts." --Researchfairy (talk) 17:11, 14 June 2013 (UTC) (sorry, forgot to sign before)[reply]

re "In the book, Kelley claimed to have interviewed actor Peter Lawford on several occasions including November 5 and 6 of 1984, even though Lawford lay on his death bed on these dates. Kelley also claimed to have interviewed Lawford on January 5, 1985, even though the actor had died in December 1984.[2]": Carpozi seems to have misinterpreted a source note in "His Way." --Researchfairy (talk) 17:11, 14 June 2013 (UTC) (sorry, forgot to sign before)[reply]

Categories

[edit]

Rather than acting capriciously and on your own regard in your deletion of categories, please remember that Wikipedia works through consensus. There is on-going discussion regarding this here, but do not make further categorical changes until consensus has been reached, or you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. Icarus of old (talk) 22:40, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

researchfairy: Phooey. By acting, I am creating the consensus, just as anytime I edit. And it seems to me consensus is not compatible with all the threats thrown around to intimidate editors. Go bug the folks who create the silly and invidious categories.

You should probably check out the page on consensus, as it's obvious you're not familiar with how that concept works. Icarus of old (talk) 16:50, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
