Wikipedia editor Animalparty just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

Thanks for your contributions, you obviously have expertise to share. As a general comment for all of your articles, you might separate explanatory notes from references using WP:REFGROUP. Also, links like Niebla (lichen) can be piped to appear as simply Niebla: see WP:PIPELINK. Lastly, your articles are quite technical: see WP:MTAU and WP:NOTJARGON (#7 & #8) for guidelines. If you have any questions about formatting, please ask. Cheers.

Move the image on Niebla isidiaescens page to the page Vermilacinia acicularis?

[edit]

Richspjut (talk) 19:45, 9 January 2015 (UTC)The current image for the page Niebla isidiaescens, collected on Conejo Mt. in Los Angeles Co. California, appears to be Vermilacinia acicularis according to the taxonomy of Spjut,[1] whereas Peter Bowler & collaboratos[2] might consider it “Niebla ceruchoides” (=Vermilacinia ceruchoides), even though N. isidiaescens was reported by them from Conejo Mt. The type for Niebla isidiaescens is from Baja California Sur, 3.5 km along road to Punta Abreojos from Highway 1. It is shown at the Consortium of North American Lichen Herbaria (CNALH).[3] The type collection is a mixture of three species (Niebla contorta, Niebla isidiaescens, Vermilacinia paleoderma); therefore, technically a type remains undetermined, which the species remains unpublished. The CNALH image includes a description for the species followed by “notes”. which seem mostly applicable to V. ceruchoides, theRichspjut (talk) 19:46, 9 January 2015 (UTC)refore largely irrelevant to Niebla isidiaescens. The holotype was indicated to have been seen by Spjut during a brief visit at ASUi[1], but that does not validate the 1994 date of publication.[reply]
