Please stop removing financial details

[edit]

Re: this and this and this and this and this and this, please stop removing financial details from articles. You are not the arbiter of truth and you do not get to unilaterally decide what information is false or not. While there are significant problems with Indian film financial details, we use the best references we can, and when this content is adequately sourced, it should not be removed. If you want to have a philosophical debate about whether or not any such figures should be included in articles, the place to do that is at WT:ICTF. Note that these changes are considered disruptive, so I would appreciate if you don't continue doing it. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:10, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Note also that I have reverted this edit, because it constitutes puffery. A person should be notable for their own works and their own accomplishments, not for who they remind people of, especially when it's a bizarrely vague as the content you submitted. Note also that the content was copied verbatim which would constitute a copyright violation. We do not tolerate that at Wikipedia. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:14, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What was the point of this?

[edit]

Hi there, what was the point of this edit? It has the aroma of subtle ethnic-warring. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:38, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It is expected to have a wider release across southern states of India than North India Rinasrizu (talk) 09:07, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited M. S. Viswanathan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Indian. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:51, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Rinasrizu. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Yuvan Shankar Raja, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Rinasrizu. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Rinasrizu|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Ravensfire (talk) 21:22, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm mistaken to be a paid user. I regret editing that that goes against Wikipedia rules. This will not be repeated. I apologise. Rinasrizu (talk) 22:55, 11 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
