Orphaned fair use image (Image:YERFall05Cover2.jpg)

[edit]
Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:YERFall05Cover2.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 21:37, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:YER Summer06 Cover.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:YER Summer06 Cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Thank you. YER under attack

[edit]

Another Wikipedia editor proposed that the article which you contributed to on the Yale_Economic_Review be tagged as an advertisement and marked for possible deletion. Dr. Andrew Kliman Akliman (talk · contribs), an alleged advocate of pluralism in economics (and an Editor of the fetal Marxian journal Critique of Political Economy) is responsible for this. See discussion on YER and "TSSI" talk pages. Note that I objected to his anti-pluralist, logically inconsistent and duplicitous proposal to suppress the YER article.

Request for edit summary

[edit]

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. – Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 04:03, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Style note

[edit]

Hi. Just a small note. One should write

 ==External links==

instead of

 ==External Links==

(lowercase "L"). On Wikipedia upper case is reserved only for proper nouns. Cheers, Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 14:44, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blanking pages

[edit]

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Zvika Krieger, without explaining the valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. If you want the article to be deleted, please see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Stifle (talk) 19:13, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:SODlogo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SODlogo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:56, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
