How does [edit] work?
[edit]{{helpme}}
I would be grateful for any help with the with the [edit] notices at the top of sections. The problem is that on the SOLEIL Synchrotron page they all seem to have fallen down onto the final section - External links, where there are now three! It could just be my browser?! But seems ok on other pages..
I can't seem to find them in the script, so can't work out how to move them. Is there a background script one can access?
Thanks!

- That's a known bug of the software. If an image is where the [edit] should have been (i.e. if the images is larger than the text of the section), then it will be placed in the next section. In this case it happens thrice, thus the links are all the way down. You cannot change the place of those links, they are automatically created by the software for each section. A possible solution would be to add more text or to add the images to a gallery instead. Regards SoWhy 12:03, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit]You could've left your message on my page, I didn't mind. It's after all what talk pages are for :P.
Anyway, if you liked the thing, also try {{val}} (for things like 20.23234+0.00021
−0.00012 MeV/c2). Also for the [edit]s, there is an option in your preferences to have them display immediately after the header, something like
Header [edit]
instead of
Header | [edit] |
This prevents the [edit]s from being all over the place. Headbomb {ταλκκοντριβς – WP Physics} 16:01, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
