User talk:Rolles
A tag has been placed on Voddler requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Accounting4Taste 00:04, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Beyond Protocol
[edit]I have nominated Beyond Protocol, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Beyond Protocol. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. - If you wish to discuss the reasons for the deletion of this page, you may wish to leave a message for Jayron32 (talk · contribs), who deleted it. If you have additional information - independent sources, news coverage, etc - that might indicate that the subject is notable, then you may wish to present that information at Deletion Review. As the article was deleted, I've also deleted it's talk page - so further questions can be directed to myself or Jayron32. Thanks, UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 13:33, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- It looks like it could be a good game, and a worthwhile article - but we need additional sources to confirm that. Are there news articles or previews that discuss the game? If there is significant, independent coverage, then an article on a game could work in advance of its release. Unfortunately, if the only source is the developer's website, then I think the article is premature, and will likely be deleted if recreated. My advice would be to wait until it gets closer to being release, and there are news articles or previews in the press that would indicate that the game is notable. - I'll have a look at those articles; That website looks OK - is it a blog or some sort of news aggregator, ala Newsarama or some such? The website for the game is good as a link, but not as a source. UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 15:48, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Your comment at talk:Beyond Protocol
[edit]Since the page is deleted, it's talk page is deleted as well - so, for your reference, I've copied your comment there to this page. I figured you may wish to refer to your argument there if you discuss the deletion with the deleting admin or others. Best, UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 13:35, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Sorry forgot to mention, this article has been deleted and I was suppose to post the deletion discussion here, I think... I just want to arument over if this page should exist or not, since I personally think that it should.
I personally think this game should be is Wikipedia since equally sized games have very long descriptions. Take Dreamlords and Saga as an example. And the thing that makes this game very noticeable is that it is the first game to stay true to the mmorts genre since Mankind which was launched in 1999 (not counting "Boundless Planet since that game never got more than a hundred users after beta). This game addresses the problems that are the core of the moorts genre. It uses highly advanced AI and a very complex order system so that you can be away from the computer and your troops will still be a fair match for any invader. I just have a question then, do you do any research on the subject or is it my responsibility to argue properly for it while posting? Oh and If I want to create a new article on this game should I post a sugjestion here before creating it?
