[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 05:29, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
Hounding
[edit]Hi, you seem to be hounding me, so if you could stop, that would be appreciated. Passionless -Talk 01:47, 20 March 2011 (UTC)
Notification of Discretionary Sanctions
[edit]As a result of an arbitration case, the Arbitration Committee has acknowledged long-term and persistent problems in the editing of articles related to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, broadly understood. As a result, the Committee has enacted broad editing restrictions, described here and below.
- Any uninvolved administrator may, on his or her own discretion, impose sanctions on any editor working in the area of conflict if, despite being warned, that editor repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process.
- The sanctions imposed may include blocks of up to one year in length; bans from editing any page or set of pages within the area of conflict; bans on any editing related to the topic or its closely related topics; restrictions on reverts or other specified behaviors; or any other measures which the imposing administrator believes are reasonably necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the project.
- Prior to any sanctions being imposed, the editor in question shall be given a warning with a link to this decision; and, where appropriate, should be counseled on specific steps that he or she can take to improve his or her editing in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Discretionary sanctions imposed under the provisions of this decision may be appealed to the imposing administrator, the appropriate administrators' noticeboard (currently WP:AE), or the Committee.
These editing restrictions may be applied to any editor for cause, provided the editor has been previously informed of the case. This message is to so inform you. This message does not necessarily mean that your current editing has been deemed a problem; this is a template message crafted to make it easier to notify any user who has edited the topic of the existence of these sanctions.
Generally, the next step, if an administrator feels your conduct on pages in this topic area is disruptive, would be a warning, to be followed by the imposition of sanctions (although in cases of serious disruption, the warning may be omitted). Hopefully no such action will be necessary.
This notice is only effective if given by an uninvolved administrator and logged here. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:10, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
Your edit to Hamas school bus attack
[edit]There is a discussion going on at the article's talk page about the disputed content. Could you please explain why you a) restored content about a living person that lacked a reliable source, b) removed content cited to a reliable source, and c) rephrased text so that it was further away from what the source actually said? Roscelese (talk ⋅ contribs) 17:22, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
- Re: your subsequent edits: thank you for restoring "appears," but there was also the phrasing issue with the Israeli response re: the "character of the Gaza regime" or some such. Also, your sources: CBN is not good for two reasons. One, it is based on the PMW source and thus is not independent. Two, CBN is not a reliable source anyway (see recent RSN). As I said on the talk page and in my edit summary, please either file an RSN report on PMW, or get an Arabic-speaking editor to check their translation. We need to maintain high standards when it comes to information about living people. Please also restore the bit about Israeli retaliation. Roscelese (talk ⋅ contribs) 17:50, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
You have been showing up at articles, for the first time, shortly after I do a bit too often. Please do not go through my contributions to annoy me. It only makes me more interested to find out what your prior account was. nableezy - 14:32, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
- only yesterday you followed me to List of violent incidents in the I-P conflict in 2011, the week before that you followed me to Itamar attack - and now you're her to complain of hounding? I see another topic ban in your future. A VERY long one. Rym torch (talk) 18:58, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
- I followed you to an article that you had not edited since February?!?!?!?! I must be very dedicated to have done such a thing. I followed you to the Itamar attack article, an article you had not edited since March 20th?!?!?! Ok, sure. You want to continue saying these absurd things, feel free. But like I said, it only makes me more interested in filing an SPI report. If you would like me to do that then, by all means, continue to annoy me. nableezy - 19:28, 4 May 2011 (UTC)
- so you admit you followed me to those articles, and you excuse is that I hadn't edited them in 5 weeks? Look I don't care how far back you were looking at my contributions - your hounding is obvious. By all means, report my "hounding" so we can get some admin eyes on YOUR behavior. It is only a matter of time before you are permanently topic banned from the I-P area. Rym torch (talk) 19:30, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- Uhh no. Im laughing at the idea that somebody "hounded" you to articles you hadnt edited in over a month. I think Ill wait a bit before reporting, thanks for the suggestion though. SPI probably would be easier anyway. Toodles, nableezy - 19:33, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
- This editor edits on a mobile device so that it can not be connected by SPI to their other account... Passionless -Talk 19:56, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
