This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Saussurea obvallata, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://lensegirl.blogspot.com/2007/07/bramha-kamal-rare-lotus.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 08:18, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Dilip Kumar Gandhi

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Dilip Kumar Gandhi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Hi, I have removed two sections from the above article. Here are the reasons:

  1. Headmasters - as this is an empty section, it should not be in the article until there is some content! Before adding content, please see my notes in the next paragraph...
  2. Notable alumni - although all of the alumni sound like they could possibly be notable, within the context of Wikipedia lists of people, they are not counted as notable, as they have no Wikipedia articles of their own. Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Lists_of_people says For instance, articles about schools often include (or link to) a list of notable alumni, but such lists are not intended to contain every graduate of the school—only those with verifiable notability. This normally means that they have an article of their own!

My advice:

  1. For the alumni: find evidence of their notability (see Wikipedia:WikiProject_Schools/Article_guidelines#Alumni and Wikipedia:Notability for guidelines on this, along with Wikipedia:Reliable_sources, which say what kind of sources make good references for this). Once they have articles, then it would be appropriate to add them. At the moment, I'm busy (I've sneaked away from the kids for a few minutes) but if I get a chance, I will look at these individuals and see if I can start articles about them.
  2. For the headteachers, you could add a list of them (names plus dates) even if they don't currently have articles - the guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Schools/Article_guidelines#Sections_of_the_article say Former headteachers/principals — A list of former headteachers/principals, with a short description of their achievements, is often useful. Although it doesn't specifically say so, I would suggest that the dates they served will be needed.

If you need any help or advice, please feel free to contact me!
