Help me!

[edit]

Hello, I'd like to request an edit to the Electoral College (US) page. The page states that there have been four elections in which the electoral college did not elect the winner of the popular vote. After this year's general presidential election, there are now five years where that is the case. I'd like to have the 2016 election added to this sentence.

If the information needs changing, you can, but it would help to support it with a major source (see Help:Referencing_for_beginners#Manual_referencing. SwisterTwister talk 19:33, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The page for the Electoral College (US) needs an edit, but the page is locked. The page states that there have been four instances when the electoral college did not elect the winner of the popular vote in the U.S., with the most recent one being the 2000 election. I'd like to include the 2016 election in that sentence and chance the number of these instances from four to five. The page for the 2016 election shows that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote and not the electoral vote: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_2016.

Please let me know what further action I need to take to change the page.

See my comment above where I have fixed the link; considering this is a factual event and there's sourcing, you can easily add the information yourself. SwisterTwister talk 21:13, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
