Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:New European Bauhaus

A tag has been placed on Draft:New European Bauhaus, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Jamiebuba (talk) 23:35, 4 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hello,
- now that i know the reasons why the page was deleted, is it still possible to edit it ?
- I totally get the reasons why but clearly, the purpose of this page is not to promote a company or a product, but to present an artistic movement launched by the European Commission, which makes date and reference like the historical Bauhaus movement. The point of view of this page is neutral and the content provides important information to the Wikipedia community about the context in which contemporary artistic projects emerge these last two years in Europe, so i think it deserves to be included.
- Also, if you think that the presentation seems directed by a promotion purpose, i could obviously write differently some paragraphs with the help of someone more experienced.
- Thank you for your time Salila.sihou (talk) 09:34, 5 April 2022 (UTC)

- Hello!
- The article you deleted is a presentation of an artistic movement, it is not at all a product's or a company's promotion. Can you specify the paragraphs that make it seems like that ?
- Also, it's already published on the French Wikipedia and on the Deutsch Wikipedia.
- Thank you for your time Salila.sihou (talk) 08:59, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
- After the previous warning, you still created the page with promotional elements (almost all of the article uses non-encyclopedic words) that depict the company entirely positively, and only use refs from its own website (i.e., no secondary sources at all). Could you declare your COI, and have a look at Notability? VickKiang (talk) 00:10, 15 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hello VickKiang!
- I totally get your remarks but I do not have a COI, i'm not related to the subject. Actually, I am an architecture student, I have no financial or promotional interest in writing this article. I am interested in subjects and initiatives related to architecture and contemporary issues such as ecology, so I seriously think that the New European Bauhaus (which is absolutely not a company but a movement) should be on Wikipedia.
- On the other hand, I do take your remarks into account, indeed it is necessary to propose a plurality of sources about it. But since it is a relatively new movement (launched 2 years ago and still in development) most sources speak positively about it. Maybe this is precisely where the Wikipedia article can offer a more neutral and encyclopedic presentation. Is it possible to recreate the page so that I can rewrite the article in this sense? Salila.sihou (talk) 09:14, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. VickKiang (talk) 23:58, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
You have an obvious conflict of interest:
- You must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic, with verifiable facts, not opinions or reviews.
- There shouldn't be any URL links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
- You must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.
Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. You must also reply to the COI request above.
