Hello, Sanijz, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Delta Psi Delta (Canada), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

A tag has been placed on Delta Psi Delta (Canada), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Deletion and the future

[edit]

You said, "I was trying to save the current work that I have done so far to come back to it later and continue writing and editing the rest of this article. I ask for this article to not be deleted as there are many articles regarding other Greek organizations (other sororities and fraternities) within Wikipedia". There are other articles, yes, but not all the so-called 'Greek' organisations have them - and see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. Notability is one factor, please see WP:GROUP about this and also WP:RS about the reliable independent sources needed to prove it. I would have moved the article into user space for you, save that it would have still been liable to deletion there as being pure advertising/promotion. This is not allowed on Wikipedia. Articles are to be written in a neutral encyclopaedic style, and remarks like "We create bonds that last a lifetime. When you join Delta Psi Delta you will find a love that lasts forever. Please explore our website to learn more about our foundations, and how you may join. Feel free to contact us at any point to answer any questions, or concerns you may have." are definitely NOT what Wikipedia is here for. There was nothing to salvage in the article. I would suggest reading the other articles you refer to, and see the difference. If you find one that is worded like yours, please let me know. If you try again, don't copy anything from the group's website (I've not looked, but suspect that you did...). Write it neutrally (boringly...) at User:Sanijz/DRAFT (click and save) AFTER you've collected the references. No references, no go. Build the article around the references. Don't be afraid to ask for opinions on it. Most admins and editors are quite friendly so long as people aren't telling us what the rules REALLY mean (they don't). OK? Over to you. BTW avoid wordings "bonds that last a lifetime" unless you are anticipating short lives - you've only been going since 1991... That applies to your website too. Not my business as an admin, but as as a professional user and editor of words (outside Wikipedia, that is, here I an a volunteer) I hate to see things like that. And make up your mind whether it was founded on Nov 27 or Sept 15 please. Can't have it both ways. 8-( Peridon (talk) 14:52, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
