Hi Sanya, this is Marco, your professor in Media & Democracy. I have noticed that you have not inserted a link to our Wiki yet. If you want to see how to do it you might check my user page. Also, as an assignment for tomorrow you can leave a message on one of your colleagues' user page and add our course page to your watch list.02:30, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm NawlinWiki. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Freedom of the press because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! NawlinWiki (talk) 21:09, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Editor notes from Wikijts

[edit]

Hi Sanya. On the one hand I like your explanation of the history of a Brand Ambassador and think you went a great deal in depth using specific examples, such as P&G and General Foods. On the other, however, I feel that you could use some further expansion in the 'Related Terms and Professional Figures."

Firstly, I feel that you should make terms and figures seperate categories. I noticed 'Brand Advocate' is the only one of these, which fits in the professional figures category so you might want to find a few more figures to add to this section.

Secondly, it would nice if you added some real like examples to all of these categories. For example, under 'celebrity branding,' you could maybe find an example of a celebrity endorsing a company (i.e. Michael Phelps, Tiger Woods, Lebron James, Alec Baldwin etc.) The majority of these sections could use a real life example. These sections are a little short anyways.

Lastly, it would be nice if you could juxtapose a sponsor and a brand ambassador. I think I understand the the difference, but you might want to make the difference more explicit.

Hey. I saw that your class is starting to add edited articles to Education Program:Northeastern University/Media and Democracy (2013 Q1). Instead of adding the full URL, only add the title of the page and the section name, the hashtag (#) denotes a section of an article, if you are using one. For example, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackie_Hudson#Activism would become Jackie Hudson#Activism or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_McKenna would become Margaret McKenna. If you do this, the links should work. If you have any questions feel free to email me or ask on my talk page. Best of luck on your projects. --Guerillero | My Talk 06:36, 8 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Brand ambassador, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Representative (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi Sanyad23! As a student editor on Wikipedia, you have a lot of valuable experience about what it's like to edit as a part of a classroom assignment. In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it's extremely helpful to hear from real student editors about their challenges, successes, and support needs. Please take a few minutes to answer these questions by clicking below. (Note that the responses are posted to a public wiki page.) Thanks!
