Speedy deletion nomination of Pariveshayati Trust
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Pariveshayati Trust, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I dream of horses If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message (talk to me) (My edits) @ 06:32, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Pariveshayati Trust. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - The article here does not exist to promote the organization - rather, once the organization has been promoted and received notice in multiple Reliable sources, then we can have an article. Not before. We don't come first - the organization does, and then we write about it. Best, UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 20:43, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
- We understand that the organization exists, and that it's a real thing with which you are involved. No one disputes this. However, in order to have an article on Wikipedia, an organization must be notable under our rules. That means, usually, that there are multiple reliable sources that show why the organization is important. The trust does not, as yet, have this notability in so far as I can determine. Now, if you have sources that show the trust to be notable, please provide links to those sources - I'll be happy to review them. But until then, it would be inappropriate to have an article on the organization.
- The other problem was the purpose of the article. We require all articles on Wikipedia to be written from a neutral point of view, and to refrain from promoting their subjects. So an article written specifically to create awareness isn't appropriate. There already needs to be an awareness of the organization before it gets an article - that's why we require sources, as I discuss above.
- If you want the article to be restored, you need to provide sources that show it to be notable. Then we can figure out how to - neutrally - discuss the organization in an article. First things first. Thanks. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 12:43, 15 April 2016 (UTC)
- If you believe those sources show that the subject is notable under our rules, then feel free to start a draft article incorporating them. Do be mindful that the article is neutral in tone and does not promote the subject. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 19:05, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
