Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Purpose of Wikipedia[edit]

Hi Sawant Mukta, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed from looking at your list of contributions that so far you've only used Wikipedia to have personal conversations with other users. I'm glad that you found our site, but I wanted to make sure that you know that Wikipedia is here to build an online encyclopedia (all the articles). While we all have talk pages, these are supposed to be used primarily to discuss issues related to editing articles. Some amount of personal conversation is okay, but if that's the main thing you're looking for, you're probably better off on another site. Wikipedia has a rule about this called WP:NOTSOCIALNETWORK, so I just thought I'd let you know. Also, given that you mentioned that you're young, it may also help you to read WP:Guidance for younger editors. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page. In response to yoour comment on my page, I just happened to see some of your comments on other people's pages on my watchlist. You haven't done anything very wrong, but if you only continue to use Wikipedia for social networking purposes, then, eventually, you're going to be blocked. Actually, I have another question. This username is "Sawant Mukta". However, sometimes I see you editing User: Mukta Sawant. Are both of those accounts yours? If so, you should know that, in general, you're only allowed to use one account on Wikipedia. It's also extremely confusing for other users since the two names are so close. Re:my userpage comment again: You're absolutely welcome to edit the Beyonce article, or other articles of any type. What you can't do is just use user talk pages to chat with other users for fun. This is a rule on Wikipedia; we're not set up to be an open forum or social networking service like Facebook or Twitter. We're here to build an encyclopedia. If you're interested in doing that, then great, and welcome. If you're not, then this simply isn't the site for you; and if you keep doing trying to use it like a social networking service, I or another administrator will block you. You do not need to "know me personally" ... your user talkpage is for editors and administrators like myself to communicate with you about potential problems with your editing. Click the link in my previous message ... it links to one of your edits that is, indeed, inappropriate on Wikipedia. Please note: conversations should be kept together ... Sawant, I'm sorry, but consider this a final warning. Even after being told above that you cannot use Wikipedia to "make friends" or "share information", you've done it again, at least 3 times.
