Speedy deletion nomination of Flora Philip
[edit]Hello ScienceForScotland,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Flora Philip for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Jprg1966 (talk) 18:09, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
- I've removed the tag: the article as it stands doesn't seem to have copied anything at all from the article cited. It would be good if you'd explain "capped" though. I'm only a couple of hundred miles south of Scotland and have no idea what it means – readers even further away may be more confused, I've also tagged it as a WP:STUB. - I have responded to your comment. --Jprg1966 (talk) 18:31, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Just out of interest
[edit]What, exactly, is ScienceForScotland for? You guys (and I count myself in there 25%, having a grandfather from Edinburgh) seem to have invented just about everything from bike tyres to TV. "Dedicated to the cultivation of Science in Scotland" seems a bit like "dedicated to the culture of cabbages in Lincolnshire". You've been there, done it and invented the T-shirt. Scots wha'hae.
