Hi I hope you don't mind, I redirected Sekhem to Seichim as the content was almost all there, and I added the extra bit into Seichim. We could discuss whether people use the words in any different ways there.Merkinsmum 23:05, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Seichim and Sekhem discussion[edit]
In reply to your note at Talk:Seichim and Sekhem: Yeah, discussing the redirect at the talk page of the article is fine, another place might be the talk page of the user that made the redirect. You can go to the file history and see who did it and post a note on that person's talk page. A couple points, though. First, the title Seichim and Sekhem has little chance of survival. If a word has two spellings we just pick one, hopefully the most common, and have the other redirect to the first. It might make sense to have a Seichim article and have Sekhem redirect to that. I'm assuming the two are the same, just alternate spellings of the same word - Talk:Seichim#Real_egyptology suggests that this might be debatable, so if you change where Sekhem redirects please address that point. Second, and this is the real heart of your note, is should there be a separate article for Seichim? The answer really comes down to whether there is significant coverage in reliable 3rd party sources - please see the general notability guidelines to see what is required for inclusion as a stand-alone article. See the discussion here: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Seichim - there was "community consensus" that the sources required simply weren't there, and that it would be best to have a section on Seichim at the Reiki article. If you know of good sources that were not known at that deletion discussion, then I think you could revert the redirect on Seichim and add those sources to the page. If you do this I would put a note on talk:Seichim that you are addressing the concerns brought up at the deletion discussion. Please let me know if I can help with any of this. It might be best, though, to just create a section at Reiki about Seichim? To use your analogy, if the holy grail were itself not notable (as defined here) but the Christian church was, then it might make sense to have holy grail redirect to christian church if the holy grail was discussed there.
