Have done a number of updates to the article - want to have a look. Dan arndt (talk) 07:31, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

I'd accept that his full name is Ross Andrew Hannaford - good detective work! Dan arndt (talk) 00:46, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Have gone through all the inductees and changed their importance to Mid - in recognition of thier significant contributions to Australian music. It's sad to see that some of them are still just basic stubs - I believe that we should be trying to get as many as possible up to a 'B' ranking (maybe even a few up to 'GA' status). Will have a look at Russell Morris (I think my brother even had one of his albums). Have been dabbling with the idea of putting together the list of APRA's Top Australian Songs (though that will mean another wikitable - joy & happiness) and making sure that all the songs are referenced with this fact on their respective articles. As for the push for the HG discog - its a lot harder than I thought but I'll keep at it. Dan arndt (talk) 07:20, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Have started on RM - will take a peek at your work on Dragon. In relation to the ARIA list check APRA Top 10 list - I agree that only the top 10 were ordered - will try and cover the others though. Dan arndt (talk) 08:58, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for adding the dates of each relative release (was going to do that but you beat me to the punch) - interesting to note that most of the songs have their own article (another potential job there) - happy if you want to convert it into a wiki-table (hint, hint).Dan arndt (talk) 05:36, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for putting together the table looks good however I don't think we need to put in the chart positions for the songs - as it is not really relevant to the article - will double check on the actual performers of the songs to ensure that we cover all (notable & recorded) performers of them. Dan arndt (talk) 04:02, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Still undecided on the chart positions - does make it interesting to see which ones didn't make it to #1 in Australia (re: "Ke Sanh" by Cold Chisel) - I can't find too many reliable references to charts in NZ but a number of the songs charted in the UK & the US... Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Bitch Epic albumcover.jpg}

Thank you for uploading Image:Bitch Epic albumcover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page.  Fixed

Been thinking about putting a table on Wikipedia:WikiProject Australian music listing all the HoF members and what the current status of the article is (i.e GA, B, Start, Stub) as a impetus for edits/members to work at upgrading those articles - have already been through and ranked the Mid importance (possibly should be High). I have also created APRA Top 30 Australian songs and have linked all the top 10 songs to the article - will work my way through the rest later. Thanks for all the help there. Had a look at the Dragon article - good work - definitely 'B' status. As for the Brian Cadd article most of the body of the work was my - back when I didn't bother referencing my edits - so I have take the blame there (I think that a lot of the information came from an article in either Drum magazine or XPress magazine - not that that helps). The Nick Cave article is good but it lacks references. Now that my internet connection is back up and running will get back to fixing up the article on Russell Morris. Dan arndt (talk) 03:52, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Have just created a stub article for Horrie Dargie as he was the only ARIA HoF member without his own article - couldn't stand a red link on the table. Will come back at a later time and fill it out (with references). Dan arndt (talk) 05:27, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
That's the trouble when you cut and paste in rush - you miss the little things - the article has his correct date of birth so have changed the category accordingly. Dan arndt (talk) 07:18, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Am not 100% happy with the Brian Cadd article - still needs some more work.Dan arndt (talk) 09:22, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Finally went through and checked all the chart listings (from the Kent Report) for Dragon - have made necessary changes to the discography tables - one thing that I did notice is that there are way more singles that charted than you have in the table - so you might want to update the table.

BTW good work on adding the article for The Groop. Dan arndt (talk) 01:17, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

I would but I'd end up stuffing up your table. Here you go...

  • "Ramona" #79 (immediately before "Rain")
  • "Cry" #17 (immediately after "Magic")
  • "Wilderworld" #42 (immediately after "Cry") can't read my writing so you might want to check the title
  • "Dreams of Men" #17 (after "Speak No Evil")
  • "Western Girls" #58 (before "Celebration")
  • "River" #78 (after "Celebration")
  • "Here am I" #72 (after "Young Years")
  • Summer" #49 (after "Here am I")

There are probably some singles that didn't chart - will try and see what they were. Dan arndt (talk) 02:38, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

I know what you mean about discographies (fixed up the one for Brian Cadd but probably needs to be in a wiki-table..) as for the Hoodoo Gurus discography I am totally disheartened with the process and feel like withdrawing the nomination :( Dan arndt (talk) 03:23, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Triffids

Dan arndt from memory did the aricle on them anyways :) SatuSuro 02:57, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Finally one of the best bands from the West has achieved the true recognition that they deserve! The article on The Triffids has truely been a labour of love for me ever since I started editing on Wikipedia - the only thing lacking was my absences of references, which I will be rectifying shortly. Have previously sought feedback from Graham Lee only too clarify a few points - no 'original research' of course. Will add all the relevant updates regarding their ARIA Hall of Fame nomination/induction and any new quotes/references that come from the publicisation of their nomination. Kelly hi! 01:05, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

I see the fifth of the six inductees has been announced - given that the existing article on RH is in pretty good shape have devoted my energies elsewhere - I see you've been working on Icehouse - looking good, only comment I have is that the lead statement is fairly long.
