Information icon Hello, I'm AntiDionysius. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Harry Clay Trexler have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Hello! Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. At least one of your edits on the page Derudaf Forever, while it may have been in good faith, was difficult to distinguish from vandalism. To help other editors understand the reason for the changes, you can use an edit summary for your contributions. You can also take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ~Darth StabroTalk/Contribs 21:35, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits

[edit]

Hi. Just a few comments about your edits and how to make them better;

  • Please use the edit summary properly. It's important to explain to others what you are doing and not describe your edits incorrectly. For instance in this edit here you summarised it as "added a citation", when that's not what you did at all.
  • You are overlinking. Common words or terms that the average reader should be well familiar with should not be linked.
  • Do not put external links (links to other websites) in the middle of Wikipedia articles. Wikipedia only uses links to other places in cites and sparingly to reference the key websites belonging to subjects.

Thanks. Escape Orbit (Talk) 16:59, 26 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Michele Ricciardi
added a link pointing to Penta
Sovcombank
added a link pointing to Russian

Final warning

[edit]

Your edits are disruptive. I've been spot-checking them reverting most of them. Here are some examples of your mistakes:

  • You violate WP:OLINK.
  • You bold words and terms that should not be bolded. See generally Wikipedia's manual of style.
  • You change the dating style of articles. American articles should be month day, year. British dating style, which is day month year, is used in articles that follow British style, e.g., countries in the United Kingdom, and other Commonwealth countries.

Your lack of edit summaries has already been noted, and you continue not to use them. If this kind of editing continues, you risk being blocked.--Bbb23 (talk) 21:54, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Bbb23: As of yesterday, they were still violating MOS:OVERLINK (and MOS:GEOLINK): [1], [2], [3] Robby.is.on (talk) 10:51, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
