February 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Roy Brown (RAF officer) with this edit. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. I really don't care who shot down Richthofen. All I care about is that the article is accurate and cited. wp:rs If you have a source stating that Brown did shoot down Richthofen, let's hear it. Add your sources. If you keep removing cited material, you will likely be warned for vandalism and banned. Jim1138 (talk) 09:49, 19 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Roy Brown (RAF officer). Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. matt (talk) 09:49, 19 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
