Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Shrekthevalentinaortiz, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.
If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have.

[edit]Hello! Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. At least one of your edits on the page The Nightmare Before Christmas, while it may have been in good faith, was difficult to distinguish from vandalism. To help other editors understand the reason for the changes, you can use an edit summary for your contributions. You can also take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. AntiDionysius (talk) 01:01, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. win8x (talking | spying) 02:06, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at The Nightmare Before Christmas, you may be blocked from editing. AntiDionysius (talk) 02:09, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey. ABG (Talk/Report any mistakes here) 02:11, 8 November 2024 (UTC)

. Drmies (talk) 02:12, 8 November 2024 (UTC)Why was I banned?
[edit]I barely even did anything! I added a bit of stuff to Kindergarten: The Musical’s synopsis, added a few sentences to the plot of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, added valuable information about a school in New Jersey, wrote multiple paragraphs on The Nightmare Before Christmas’ plot and soundtrack, and tried to undo a person who kept deleting my edits. If I am unbanned, I promise to not do any more bad stuff (I don’t even know what I did). I’ll create new pages instead of editing current ones, so if I do something bad on the page, it’s my page and it can just get deleted. Shrekthevalentinaortiz (talk) 02:29, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- You don't own pages even if you do create them. If you get unblocked, create new pages and continue like that, you'll still end up in trouble. You were adding poorly sourced content, I suggest you read Help:Referencing for beginners. win8x (talking | spying) 02:40, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
AlphaBetaGama, I WANT REVENGE!
[edit]You got me banned, @[[User:AlphaBetaGama|AlphaBetaGama]. Shrekthevalentinaortiz (talk) 02:30, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- You were adding unsourced or poorly sourced material, as stated above. Ow0cast (talk) 02:32, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
Why I should be unblocked
[edit]Shrekthevalentinaortiz (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I don’t know what I did, but I won’t do it again. If I accidentally did something inappropriate, I apologize, and won’t do it again. I’ll create new pages, instead of editing old ones! That means that I basically own the page, meaning I won’t get in trouble for anything I do on it! Now, let me help Wikipedia become more reliable! Shrekthevalentinaortiz (talk) 02:37, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
Decline reason:
If you don't know what you did, you can't tell us that you won't do it again. We need to know that you understand what you did wrong. I can't remove this block. 331dot (talk) 09:32, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Oh, sorry
[edit]I don’t even know how to do that. I’m bad at adding things to source other things. I didn’t realize that it was against the rules. Shrekthevalentinaortiz (talk) 02:38, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- I don't know what that is supposed to mean. What I do know is that this is weird, not in proper English, not verified, and certainly not at the level of a GA, and it comes after you've been reverted in that same article multiple times, with warnings on your talk page--but you can only find that talk page after you've been blocked. Drmies (talk) 02:40, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Drmies, I think they were editing in good faith, they only seem young. @Shrekthevalentinaortiz, you do need to use formal language on Wikipedia. It has to be clean. win8x (talking | spying) 02:42, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Inexperience as an excuse only goes so far. What they could be doing right now is apologizing to the editors that they insulted here and figure out exactly what they did wrong; the unblock request that says "I don't know what I did but I won't do it again" is not very convincing. Drmies (talk) 02:54, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, I am well aware that they should be doing that. Yes the unblock request is poor and no unblocks should be made, I wasn't commenting on that. win8x (talking | spying) 03:50, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
