By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Again, you haven't done anything wrong, but I figured you should be aware of the extra rules for this topic area. MJLTalk 19:15, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Fringe promotion[edit]

Please stop using Wikipedia as a platform to push election denialism or other kook claims. It's inappropriate. Neutralitytalk 14:54, 27 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality, if you want to be unecyclopedic, Wikipedia isn't the place for you. Sir Doc MD (talk) 01:21, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Neutrality has been on Wikipedia since 2004, which is almost as long as me. And he became an admin only a few months before I did, though much longer than I now at this point. He is 100% correct, and you need to stop pushing election denialism. Andre🚐 02:04, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And here's another Admin telling you the same thing. EG[1]. I've only been around for 16 years and an Admin for 14. One more strike and you're out. That includes personal (and ridiculous) attacks such as the one above. Doug Weller talk 11:03, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The fake authoritative language is hilarious. "Wikipedia isn't the place for you" isn't a personal attack. I'm afraid as admins, your appeal to authority fallacies are disappointing. It doesn't matter how long you've been an admin, Wikipedia is still meant to be encyclopedic. An encyclopedia states that, "Donald Trump claimed Joe Biden stole the election," with a criticism section lower down. An encyclopedia does not state that "Donald Trump falsely said X." Especially when there is evidence that he believes to be proof of fraud, it is not factual nor encyclopedic to claim that "Donald Trump baselessly did Y." You want to challenge his bases? Go ahead. Sir Doc MD (talk) 18:02, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry that's not how it works. We go by what reliable sources say. Which agree that due to 60+ failed lawsuits and repeated audits in many states, Trump's claims were and are baseless. Andre🚐 18:13, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Only a few of Trump's lawsuits were brought to trial, and he won a majority of them. Most of the trials didn't even go to court, with the judges asking "What are they supposed to do, overturn a federal election?" They didn't have the power to overturn the election, but that doesn't mean Donald's claims of fraud aren't true.
Reliable media? There is an entire debate about that too. That is why encyclopedias are supposed to be encyclopedic. Let me guess, the FBI is reliable too? Read the COINTELPRO article on this very website.
The media and elite institutions, by any rational reasoning, are most definitely not the benevolent truth-sayers some claim them to be. However, again, an encyclopedia is not meant to debate that. And, again, that's why encyclopedias are meant to be encyclopedic. Sir Doc MD (talk) 02:12, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
These conspiracy theories aren't welcome here. Keep this up, and you will likely find your account blocked.[02:17, 30 August 2022 (UTC)]
"In more than 60 cases, judges “looked at the allegations that Trump was making and determined they were without any merit.” [2] "Independent experts, governors and state election officials from both parties say there was no evidence of widespread fraud." [3] Andre🚐 02:19, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
How much do you get paid as a Wikipedia admin? Sir Doc MD (talk) 20:38, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am not an admin, just a former admin, and I am not paid for anything I do here. None of the admins are paid as far as I know, maybe some people have received some grants or T-shirt from time to time, but the vast majority of everyone is a volunteer. Andre🚐 20:39, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
ah damn btw cointelpro isnt a conspiracy theres literally an article about it on this very website Sir Doc MD (talk) 18:25, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm familiar with COINTELPRO, what's your point? Andre🚐 18:26, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
