Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that in this edit to Angajan Ramanathan, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Jim1138 (talk) 08:49, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents notice

[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Maithripala Sirisena & Angajan Ramanathan. Jim1138 (talk) 09:45, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, it's come to my attention that you claim to be "the Media Secretary to the Hon. Deputy Minister Angajan Ramanathan. If that is true, please read and heed WP:COI and WP:PAID as they come into play. Please be advised that Wikipedia does not accept "cleansing" of articles at the behest of subjects of articles, deputy ministers, or anyone else. Please read Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons#Relationship between the subject, the article, and Wikipedia. there will be help there. You may suggest edits and request changes on pertinent talk pages. Editing articles with which you have a conflict of interest may lead to disruption and an unsatisfactory experience for you, such as finding yourself dragged of to WP:ANI.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 11:26, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 12:49, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop

[edit]

I'm trying to follow WP:BLP by acting with patience and forbearance, but you need to stop editing and respond to the ANI thread. Please do not continue to "clean" articles with which you have a conflict of interest. Please respond at ANI.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 12:52, 8 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
