I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! NAHID 15:55, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: A question

[edit]

Certainly. You can improve articles to WP:GA and WP:FA status by putting them in their nomination page. Where you will find the criteria of GA and FA articles as well as their nomination process. You may also get the help from experienced editor on that particular field, who usually works on article improvement process. You may also wish to visit Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles and Wikipedia:WikiProject Featured articles. Thank you--NAHID 16:35, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Article can be placed in Assessment section for users advise. You can add any article in particular assessment project by adding template in its discussion page. For example, Sergei Bodrov, Jr. article can be added to Wikipedia:WikiProject Russia/Assessment. What you need to do is, just add this template, {{WikiProject Russia}} in article discussion page. Then it will automatically add this article to that assessment page. In English wikipedia, each article has its own project, where they are being edited, assessed by number of editors. You could check Wikipedia:WikiProject for different projects. As for your competence in English, you may wish to check Wikipedia:Reference desk/Language. Thank you--NAHID 09:37, 25 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: А request

[edit]

If you open peer review page for an article, only that entry will be visible in its own peer review page. After doing so, the entry will automatically be listed in Peer review page within an hour. You should check this link. Once the article listed there, experienced editor will have a look on that article. They will also provide feed back in peer review discussion page as well as in article discussion page. Thank you--NAHID 15:28, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WP:RUSSIA roll call and your input required

[edit]

Privet. You are receiving this message as you were listed on the membership list of WP:RUSSIA at Wikipedia:WikiProject Russia/Members. Recent times has seen minimal activity within WikiProject Russia, and there is an attempt to re-invigorate the project and have it become more organised into a fully-fledge functioning project, with the aim of increasing the quality of Russia-related articles across English wikipedia.

As we don't know which listed members are active within the project and Russia-related article, all listed members are receiving this message, and are requested to re-affirm their active status on Russia-related article by re-adding their username to Wikipedia:WikiProject Russia/Members by adding:

# {{User|YOURUSERNAME}}

to the membership list. You may also like to place {{User Russian Project}} on your userpage, as this will also place you in Category:WikiProject Russia members.

There is also an active proposal on the creation of a single WP:RUSSIA project. The proposal can be viewed at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Russia#Proposal_for_overhaul_and_creation_of_a_single_WP:RUSSIA_project, and your comments and suggestions are welcomed and encouraged at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Russia/Proposal.

We all look forward to your continued support of WP:RUSSIA and any comments you may have on the proposal. --Russavia Dialogue Stalk me 06:19, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Black Sabbath Covers

[edit]

Just wanted to let you know that the notability of your article is being discussed at the Metal WikiProject page. J04n(talk page) 18:01, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's a shame that you weren't here when the discussion was ongoing. There was just no support as to the importance of it. The poor formatting didn't help either. The verifiabilty wasn't in question, the problem was the notability. You saw the comments there was just no support at all, sorry. J04n(talk page) 21:44, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Battleship Sevastopol

[edit]

Hi there. As you were one of the editors I saw editing articles about battleships in the same class, I would like to ask you. What more should be done to User:Buggie111/ Russian battleship Sevastopol (1895) before it goes live?

Any comments would be appreciated,

Frankly speaking I wrote this article by chance. I am not a specialist in this sphere)--Slav9ln (talk) 14:30, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dreamland (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. — Timneu22 · talk 17:51, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:59, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
