Hi Slykos, I saw Kobenz was uploaded on here recently. He is from my state, and I have done shoots for him. I am having trouble updating a picture on his article. Could you direct me on how to do so? Soundcloudlegends (talk)

@Soundcloudlegends: Hi, if you are trying to upload a picture when you know the subject, then it is a violation of WP:COI. In this case however, it is an image, and therefore pretty self-explanatory. Has the image been uploaded to Wikimedia Commons or Wikipedia yet? If so, reply with {{Done}}. If not, reply with {{Not Done}} go here, follow the instructions, DOUBLE-CHECK YOUR WORK (highly important), and then reply here with {{Done}}. Also, if possible, please remember to finish off your messages with four tildes -> (~~~~). Thanks! Slykos (talkcontribsrights) 20:58, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

@Soundcloudlegends: Okay, what is the filename? Slykos (talkcontribsrights) 21:27, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
Kobenz UV shootSoundcloudlegends (talk) 21:30, 1 December 2020 (UTC)
@Soundcloudlegends: After looking at the image, I can deem it not acceptable for use in many ways. 1) It's not appropriate. 2) It's copyrighted. I regret that I am marking this as  Not done, but WP:IMAGE requires that it be fair use, which it is not. Slykos (talkcontribsrights) 21:33, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

That is specifically not the way that drafts are supposed to be published. They are supposed to be submitted for admin review, so that the draft history is moved as well. They are not meant to be cut and pasted. NASCAR Enthusiast (talk)

@NASCAR Enthusiast: You don't have to submit an article for review. You can make any article at any time simply by pushing on a redlink or entering a command. Typically, articles should be moved instead of copied and pasted, but what's done is done, and there's no point into going to all that extra work to get a page moved if the page is already there. Hi There, Please can you remove the Geography and climate section at the bottom of the wiki page? I don't want to remove it, it may not look good. Many thanks DavidAshfield1 (talk) 21:59, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

@DavidAshfield1: If it won't look good, then why are you asking me? Slykos (talkcontribsrights) 00:01, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
Hi There, I would rather you removing the extra content than me. The repeated element. I don't want to be seen as taking out large parts of the wiki page it gives me minus points. Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by DavidAshfield1 (talkcontribs) 00:08, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
@DavidAshfield1:

1) Please sign your comments.

2) You would rather me "lose points" with Wikipedians, rather to you? No thanks. You need consensus before removing, see WP:CONSENSUS. If you have an issue with this, you can leave a new conversation here, or leave a message on WP:AN/WP:ANI but I am not going to remove huge sections of articles because you want me to, that'd be puppeting.

I'm beginning to have a concern that you are a sockpuppet, being so new and knowing so much in so little time, I even needed 3/4 days to read policies, but you zoomed through 'em. You want me to remove a large section of a page so attention won't be drawn to you. I am not doing that. Thanks, but I'm not interested in removing sections of pages because a user "wants me to". All of that info is unsourced and I only took away that info. I left the sourced ones. You even deleted the needs citatiosn template message. TigerScientist (talk) 17:37, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

@TigerScientist: The citation message was already there. Slykos (talkcontribsrights) 19:23, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

Hello, I hope this is the right place to discuss this. The section I blanked out on the page of College of Europe is not about "awards", it is about students who are elected by their peers for one year and become Student Representatives. The encyclopedic value of this is close to zero, moreover there is a question about privacy of these people as they are not public figures and they suddenly appear on a Wikipedia page. This seems more of a vanity exercise than anything else. Moreover, Wikipedia is not the "Yearbook" of the College of Europe. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.201.55.38 (talk) 17:32, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

@205.201.55.38: Hi, the privacy of the students can be removed if they contact the Wikimedia Foundation and request removal, but otherwise there's no reason to remove it. Unless you are a student there, you can't assume that they don't want that info there. Slykos (talkcontribsrights) 17:36, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
Sorry, I found this via WP:PERM/R and found 205.201.55.38's concern to be pretty well-reasoned. Additionally, the section lacked citations, so even if it were relevant, restoring it would require a citation that directly supports the material. The onus to achieve consensus for inclusion is on those seeking to include disputed content. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:25, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
@ToBeFree: Ah, my mistake then. I shall endeavour to do better then. Slykos (talkcontribsrights) 20:15, 5 December 2020 (UTC)

Hey, hope this is the right place to talk. I work with different groups relating to Judaism, and have had experience with Hillel. Some of the information about their opinions on BDS was incorrect (notably the responses for different chapters). I've talked to them and seen the actual opinions and responses of members and leadership. I don't know why it was there (nor why it was the largest section, I assume someone just went on a fictional rant), but I deleted it, and you informed me it was undone for being unconstructive. Could I change it back? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ari9999999 (talkcontribs) 22:02, 4 December 2020 (UTC)

@Ari9999999: Hi. Normally, I'd say yes, but with it being such a large section and all, I'd think you should probably post on that article's talk page. If you are sure, however, that it doesn't require consensus, then you may remove it, I won't rollback it, but another user may. Slykos (talkcontribsrights) 22:06, 4 December 2020 (UTC)
