Please avoid "cut and paste" moves

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:InstaNovella a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into InstaNovella. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you.

I have asked an administrator to merge the histories of the two pages. No action is required on your part. You may continue to edit the article while awaiting the history merge. Other than the removal of the "history merge request" template at the top of the article, its content will not be changed. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 23:56, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Thank you for the help. Solomon Kelvin (talk) 23:59, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Evading blocks

[edit]

Please don't do that again. Find another hobby. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 00:22, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 00:22, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not welcome to edit here

[edit]

Once you have been blocked, as you were when you operated as ChuksJD, you are no longer welcome to edit at Wikipedia so long as that block is active. Anything you create or edit, that is attributed to you, will be deleted. The community doesn't tolerate undisclosed paid editing or promotional editing, or sockpuppetry, and if you waste the community's time, your own time will be wasted as well. Request to be Unblocked

Request reason:

I was blocked for undisclosed paid editing or suck puppetry,

I swear on my life, I didn't take up any payment of some sort. I don't think that VPN works on Wikipedia. A certain User:AwesomeStitches was blocked all in the name of this guy. I was shocked and angry for unjustly accusing me. I can swear that I am not that guy. when a certain IP Address is blocked, can it be evaded? even if it was to be, can it be evaded upto 3 times? I mean haven't anyone thought of that? How can evading IP block be done upto three times all by a certain person? No please. Maybe the User: ChuksJD and User:Cyphoidbomb weren't cool that shouldn't be taken up on me. You can look up my IP address and compare. They ain't the same. I'll be waiting for reply. Ty, Solomon Kelvin (talk) 00:44, 25 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Sorry, a CheckUser has determined that you are evading a previous block, and a general sniff of your editing behaviour suggests a stink that you are not a brand-new editor who suddenly is interested in the poorly-sourced InstaNovella article. Also, your previous attempts to deflect responsibility and drum up ridiculous defenses are as transparent as this one. And of course now we're going to wonder why you're talking about VPNs and about blocks levied on certain IPs when nobody even mentioned any of that, but please don't feel like you need to answer that, since nobody will care. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Stop hand
Your ability to edit this talk page has been revoked as an administrator has identified your talk page edits as inappropriate and/or disruptive.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should read the guide to appealing blocks, then contact administrators by submitting a request to the Unblock Ticket Request System. If the block is a CheckUser or Oversight block, was made by the Arbitration Committee or to enforce an arbitration decision (arbitration enforcement), or is unsuitable for public discussion, you should appeal to the Arbitration Committee.
Please note that there could be appeals to the unblock ticket request system that have been declined leading to the post of this notice.
