{{unblock|sourcedallmedia}}[edit]

I sourced all the media I uploaded and 1 was a picture I personally took and the others were the property of the artist featured who I live with, so I dont understand why I was blocked

Request reason:

isourcedallmediaandownthephotosortheartistdoes

Decline reason:

I'm told the blocking admin has contacted you by email about this and explained what the problem is already, but I'll try again anyway. Essentially there are two issues. One is that that normally an album cover can only be used under a claim of fair use on the article about the album itself or singles from that album, not in the article on the artist. The other problem is that living with the artist and having their verbal permission to reuse their work is not sufficient as there is no way to verify that. Information on this matter is detailed at here and a specific process for verifying that you can release the material is detailed here. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:25, 16 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I sourced all the media I uploaded and either own the photos or the artist does who I live with.

Request reason:

Decline reason:

Firstly, when using an unblock template, please use spaces. It makes it very difficult to read your requests whenthey'realljumbledtogetherlikethis. Secondly, please don't put them in headers (don't put them between equals signs). Thirdly, they are only to be used to actually requesting unblocking, not asking questions; for general questions, you can use {{helpme}}.

Now then. To answer your question, you can send confirmation that you own pictures you upload to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. You can contact that address for more information about how to upload pictures in this manner, and what sort of proof they require. Hersfold (t/a/c) 02:37, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you to the admin who responded and who I can't figure out who to contact directly. I never received any emails from the person who blocked me. Two photos I uploaded I own,one I took myself. How can I post them without getting flagged?

Do you even read the replies to your questions? I have tried to explain it, Hersfold has tried to explain it, and the admin that blocked you sent an email explaining it. In any event you can't upload anything while you are blocked. If you want to talk to the admin who blocked you, go to User:PeterSymonds. On the left hand collumn of the page there is a toolbar with a link that says "email this user." Beeblebrox (talk) 19:54, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
