God of War
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from God of War (video game). When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. —Politizer talk/contribs 05:08, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- The "stuff written in Arabic or something" that you are reverting is not spam, it is links to versions of that same article on other language versions of Wikipedia. Have you ever noticed on the left-hand sidebar that you can read the same article, in French, Chinese, etc.? It's because of those links. Please don't remove them again. —Politizer talk/contribs 14:34, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- I just took a second look and, in fact, none of the links you removed under "External links" were spam or dead-end. All you removed was the valuable interlanguage links. Any time you see a link at the bottom of the page with two letters and a colon (for example, fr:______, es:______, zh:_____), do not delete it. —Politizer talk/contribs 14:42, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I don't know what links you were looking at, because interlanguage links don't even show up in the article, they show up in the sidebar. And the revision that you were looking at before you removed the content didn't have any redlinks in it, so I don't know what you were seeing down there. —Politizer talk/contribs 03:02, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
- Well then, all I can think is that maybe there was a temporary server error or something, because normally those links never appear in the main article, and they don't show up in the main article that is saved in the article history. Those articles were definitely not "being worked on" at the time--some of them have been around for over a year, as you can see in the article histories at those other versions. All I can say is if you ever see redlinks at the bottom of the page like that again, try refreshing your browser or try checking to see if there is a formatting error higher up in the article that is messing up those, but don't delete those links. —Politizer talk/contribs 03:17, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Done and Done
[edit]Ok I added information abouot the types of rounds and uses for the M203, lemme know how it looks. If I can, I want to photograph different rounds for the M203, but that is more like a next-month roject. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nor3aga (talk • contribs) 12:16, 3 November 2008 (UTC) Yeah, I'm trying to have our armorer dig our my rounds so I can take some pictures of them. For now I can post the chart included in the TM, or there are some pictures elsewhere on wikipedia, like here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MEI_HELLHOUND As for airburst rounds, the only rounds I fired that exploded in air were the star clusters. The TM and Ammo system doesn't list any other types of grenades either, but if you can dig up some info, I'd like to see it (I'm the 203 gunner for my squad, so I'd request some).Nor3aga (talk) 05:57, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
The airburst is for the M79, vietnam era grenade launcher. I'm pretty sure that we have stopped producing or using those rounds.Nor3aga (talk) 06:36, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
Yeah
[edit]I'm a Wikipedia user now. I am a wiki user since november of last year, I think. I'm working on game articles. It's pretty fun. I also fought with some neckbeards over a "Crucifixion in Anime" section.--Ace Oliveira (talk) 16:25, 4 January 2010 (UTC)
It appears to me that the article has been using British English, and if you click on the Manual of style link above you will find a section on varieties of English - basically, don't change the variety of English in an article unless there are strong national ties to one variety. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 17:35, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for your response on my talk page. It's easily done, no problem. Dougweller (talk) 18:32, 5 October 2010 (UTC)
FN SCAR purchase
[edit]On the FN SCAR page, what is the Purchase section supposed to be showing? There is an order table, but the link goes to a solicitation page with no table and it is dated 2004. I'm guessing it's the original solicitation but the link doesn't explain anything. — Preceding unsigned comment added by America789 (talk • contribs) 18:15, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- So should I get rid of it or just leave it? America789 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 00:20, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
Hyborian Age: Pathenia
[edit]I noticed you've done some edits on Hyborian Age so I had to bring this matter to you. There's a very big mass of land in the extreme north of eastern Hyboria(north of Khitai and Hyrkania) called Pathenia surrounded by mountains and it is not mentioned in the etymology table. I've tried done research on many sites including the Conan wiki and many fan sites but nothing could be found except an very obvious fact that it's shape, size and climate matches that of Greenland. But I ain't sure because there is nothing about it's similarity to any country or geographical region provided in any story of Conan. It's only told that it is the home of dreaded giant snow-apes and contains Yahlgan, city of Erlik the flame god. Thanks in advance. SuperNerdMan83 (talk) 07:55, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
- I've added Pathenia to the Etymology table since it's been more than a week and nobody responded on the topic. I won't object it's removal since the information about it is not certain. SuperNerdMan83 (talk) 10:29, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
