License tagging for Image:Srianna.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Srianna.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:11, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Welcome!

Hello, Srivatsanvr, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Hunza Valley does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  Kautilya3 (talk) 12:20, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Important Notice

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

The Hunza velley is in Gilgin-Batistan which is part of Jammu & Kashmir, an integral part of India. This is the official position of the Republic of India. How can one say this area is in Pakistan when it is disputed. So i did tbe right thing. Please correct your error. ASAP. Srivatsan (talk) 17:27, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Srivatsanvr! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Hunza Valley several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Hunza Valley, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 17:46, 20 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I have added my statement in the Talk Page. Have I done this correctly? How long do I wait for a response? What is the right way to change the content to reflect the truth? Srivatsan (talk) 23:38, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You are expected to give editors at least 24 hours before doing anything further. If they don't respond, you can WP:PING them, which is, I suppose, me :-) -- Kautilya3 (talk) 08:07, 28 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
