Re-deletion of Tyler Morris

[edit]

Greetings! At Talk:Tyler Morris, we had the following exchange:

This page should not be speedily deleted because I have been trying to contact the user who deleted the page originally to have it undeleted originally. I have been following and contributing to this article for nearly 3-5 years and in that time the subject matter has continued to achieve notable accomplishments and recently (Jan 12, 2019) he was on the Billboard Charts at a #8 position. I have attached a link for reference below. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyler_Morris I have been trying to communicate via the person who deleted this page and they refuse to reply to my discussions on their talk page. (your reason here) --Stacey196 (talk) 13:12, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Stacey196: He only reached #8 on a regional Billboard chart, not a national one. I'm not sure that would clear the notability criteria for charting on a national chart. I will check the deleted text: if that claim was in the article that was deleted at community discussion, then I will delete the article again. Otherwise, I will allow the article to stay, temporarily, while this new claim is considered by the community. —C.Fred (talk) 13:21, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I reviewed the article, and at the time of the AfD discussion, there was a claim made that Morris had charted on the national Billboard blues chart. Nonetheless, the community still decided to delete the article. Accordingly, criterion for speedy deletion G4 still applies, and I have deleted the article.

Since the reply is to your contested deletion, I'm putting the thread here. I am also pinging @BobKelley:, who created the most recent version of the page, so they see this thread. —C.Fred (talk) 13:29, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello C.Fred, this is indeed a national chart, the Billboard Blues Charts. Please see the attached chart history below. Could you please reinstate this page and let others in the community discuss this? You deleted the page before discussion could be conducted and it seems that Stacey is another user who is in support of this page. @C.Fred: Hi, this is a national chart as BobKelley has said above. Could you reinstate this page please as there is enough substantial sources and backing of this topic to justify one. Stacey196 (talk) 13:47, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
