March 2023[edit]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Sepala Ekanayake, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 08:46, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There are no charges against Sepala Ekanayaka from any court or police that he killed the suspects in Welikada jail. Some people have taken advantage for the personal goals , for example, to obtain citizenship in Europe, by misrepresenting his name in places like the BBC and the Colombo Telegraph. Due to the personal problem between him and the Italian government, his name became famous due to the hijacking of the Italian plane to get his Italian son. He hijacked only by writing a letter to the pilot without even using a stick. He used only the pen and the paper to write and hijacked for the intention of getting his 3 years old Italian son without harming any one.
According to that Colombo Telegraph paper article, the writer has mentioned a chief , Major Sunil Pieris who led the rescue team has confirmed that he has seen him with a human head. THEN THIS CHIEF MAJOR HAS DONE A VERY BAD THING OF IGNORING THIS DANGEROUS INCIDENT AS A WITNESS WITHOUT TAKING THE MURDERES IN TO THE CUSTODY. All these stories are made up stories for their personal intentions they made these fake stories and published in the purpose of hiding the names of real murderers .
In the same article they have mentioned that Tamil survivors (who were in the prison at this period) have disbelieved about Sepala as he murdered as the writer said. They have mentioned that he was friendly with them.
The person who has signed his bond to go abroad was a Tamil friend called Subramaniam from Jaffna. His business partner is Selwam. He has no conflict with Tamils. These are rumours they created to get rid from them by spreading Sepala’s name.
Please remove the whole page about Sepala Ekanayaka in Wikipedia. Sydsol (talk) 09:39, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We're willing to work with you on this, but you chose to contact the authorities in your country instead; you are now unable to participate here until that matter is concluded or withdrawn. 331dot (talk) 09:52, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You have mistaken what I wrote.Complained against a lady who went on and on commented to every post about him and a wired Sinhala writer who posted fake posts and the lady I mentioned here made comments. After warning by CID in our country they have deleted them. Not against Wikipedia Sydsol (talk) 09:59, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
In various posts you suggest both that you are and are not Mr. Ekanayaka; are you him or not? This suggests you contacted the authorities about the Wikipedia article about Mr. Ekanayaka- if you have taken legal action against other Wikipedia users, that could be interpreted as a legal threat against other Wikipedia users. You can pursue your grievances on Wikipedia or with the legal system of your country, but not both. 331dot (talk) 10:07, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No this is his wife. I am doing on behalf of him. When my friend has advised me that we can edit.As I told after posting some hijacking posts one lady and one writer from Sri Lanka commented very badly by saying about these fake articles. We complained against them. Not Wikipedia. This is not nice to criticize a person who didn’t involve. Sepala doesn’t use social media and he doesn’t bother. He lives according to Buddhism. He doesn’t even kill a cockroach he can’t do so. So please try to remove the things which he has not done from Wikipedia. Sydsol (talk) 10:18, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As I say below, if you want to handle this as a case of libel, you should follow the instructions at WP:LIBEL to send an email detailing this matter. That would probably be quicker that waiting for the community to come to a resolution about this matter. Your legal complaint may not have been against Wikipedia but it was against other Wikipedia users(rightfully or wrongly) which may cause other Wikipedia users to edit less freely(which is called a chilling effect). Again, we cannot stop you from taking legal action according to the laws of your country, but you cannot discuss doing so on Wikipedia. To be unblocked, you will need to make an unblock request as the notice below describes. 331dot (talk) 10:28, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don’t have a good knowledge of editing or continuing this and I didn’t complain against even other Wikipedia users. I only wanted to remove this from internet. That’s what I tried to do with the help of my friend. It’s ok if you can remove it’s nice . What legal action? I just tried to remove by telling the truth to Wikipedia. When I deleted you readded so it’s your choice after explaining removing the fake stories. Sydsol (talk) 10:37, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to handle this with the Foundation directly, see WP:LIBEL; if you want to take legal action against the Foundation, see WP:LEGAL for how to contact their lawyers. 331dot (talk) 10:09, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Sepala Ekanayake, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you would like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Your recent editing history at Sepala Ekanayake shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. 331dot (talk) 09:18, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a concern about an article, you should discuss it on the article talk page, not in edit summaries that you only create by randomly removing something from the article. 331dot (talk) 09:19, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia while the threats stand or the legal action is unresolved.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  331dot (talk) 01:47, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have made posts saying you made complaints to CID which as I understand it is the police in your country. We cannot stop you from pursuing legal action if you so choose, but you will be unable to edit here until this legal action has concluded. 331dot (talk) 01:52, 11 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
