Spaceflight edits[edit]

Thanks, some good ones in there. It's fun to be able to explore and edit Wikipedia's spaceflight pages, an honorable use of collective memory that I'm surprised more people and spaceflight professionals aren't adding to. You seem to be accepting of and noticing the learning curve (you did too many uppercase changes and overlinks, and seem to be learning from the reverts, which is very Wikipedian of you). Enjoy, and thanks again for the good ones. Randy Kryn (talk) 21:04, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

However please be aware of your capitalization of non proper nouns, and it would be good to take a read of WP:OVERLINK as common terms and words, such as nationalities and countries, shouldn’t be linked as everyone knows what they are. Canterbury Tail talk 21:10, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Canterbury Tail, professional space travelers of the Soviet Union were referred to as cosmonauts, not astronauts, therefore I was correcting the wording. Also for the opening paragraph, the period of detente is specific for the Cold War, the geopolitical rivalry of the Soviet Union and the United States that lasted from 1947 to 1989, so I added that portion as well. Every other thing you changed back I can understand. Thanks, T38Talon T38Talon (talk) 21:22, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Although Wikipedia lumps cosmonaut, astronauts, and other words together under Astronaut, all seem fine when appropriately used (Soviet cosmonaut seems correct, as used in List of cosmonauts). Randy Kryn (talk) 21:36, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
