Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as in Safety of the Large Hadron Collider, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Khukri 12:10, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, would you mind just re-editing your last post on the safety article please. I am as exasperated as you with respect to some of the fringe theories and tired old arguments we keep seeing, but that is my personal POV and having spent 8 years working on the LHC I'm trying my damnedest not to have a go. But on the Wikipedia side we need to keep the response measured, even though I suspect that the Wisconsin IP is oor friend James, we shouldn't even attack him for his views. It's follow the line, repeat the guidelines and try and get through it with as little hassle as possible. It's only a friendly suggestion, and by all means you can tell me to go take a flying leap, but just trying to keep the talk page calm (ish) as we're going to get alot of visitors in the next few days. Cheers Khukri 09:36, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Khukri. I have edited my post there. I'm fairly certain it is Mr Tankersley that's posted that. I'm just incredibly frustrated with his constant attempts to try and swing the article in his favour. He's also suggesting conspiracy, which is ridiculous, frankly. I'm just really sick of seeing him pop up absolutely bloody everywhere peddling his nonsense. Every site or blog with a comment section, you can bet your bottom dollar he's in there with a comment pushing his website, completely unaware that his sources have been rubutted. I swear he must google "LHC" every day to keep up with that! It makes me sad, too. I just can't understand why people want to stand in the way of progress here. We have to look at it that James will never be persuaded by any arguments you put forward. If you read through lhcconcerns.com one of the blogs I used to keep removing from the article, it seem he started there, and was laughed off that blog, and that was why he started lhcfacts.org where he reviews every post and removes anything negative or in disagreement with his position. You only have to see the lies he has told about me on his blog and that I censor the article to know it's not on the level. He is on a crusade and we cannot argue against his only personal beliefs, as I said you can't persuade him, so we have to argue with the tools of wikipedia, namely WP:VERIFY, WP:OR, WP:REDFLAG and all the others that disallow personal viewpoints or crusades. Though I am just as tired. A handful of people with poor or no clue about science have done alot of damage to something in which humanity should be rejoicing, a truly global enterprise. Is there possible claim for WP:COI with JTankers, or has this already been attempted? THMRK1 (talk) 13:49, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yea but no-one really wants to get involved, I've been through ANI, asked for third party and done all the others. Unfortunately no-one wats to get involved. But what also muddies the water is the fact I work at CERN, but along time ago I asked two other admins to keep an eye, and let me know if I step over the mark, but so far that hasn't happened, but it still makes it messy for those on the outside.
