Welcome to the Wikipedia!

[edit]

Welcome to the Wikipedia, TONS! And thanks for weighing in over on the Carcinogenesis article discussion. Hope you enjoy editing here and becoming a Wikipedian! Here are a few perfunctory tips to hasten your acculturation into the Wikipedia experience:

And some odds and ends: Boilerplate text, Brilliant prose, Cite your sources, Civility, Conflict resolution, How to edit a page, How to write a great article, Pages needing attention, Peer review, Policy Library, Utilities, Verifiability, Village pump, Wikiquette, and you can sign your name on any page by typing 4 tildes: ~~~~.

Best of luck, TONS, and have fun! Ombudsman 01:48, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't remove afd notices

[edit]

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Elle vécut heureuse à jamais (Be eudaimonic!) 19:35, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing content from Wikipedia; it is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Doc ask? 20:59, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have now deleted both the notices and the whole page. Most of the page I generated myself and the "notices" were placed without good cause. I did comment on the talk page but it is clear that people have agendas other than an educational description of the subject. TONS.

Um, you didn't "delete" the page. You just blanked it. Even if you wrote it yourself, although academically it is your work, and you are the copyright holder, this is Wikipedia and you already legally agreed to license all your works under the GFDL and therefore it no longer has a restriction.
