Knock it off. Those are the correct recording dates. Prove me wrong. TPPDGuy (talk) 02:34, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Tuesday Night Music Club. — Garrett W. {☎ ✍} 02:39, 10 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 for for persistent addition of persistent addition of unsourced content.. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text at the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Hammersoft (talk) 01:34, 11 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You noted above that people concerned about your edits would have to prove the edits are wrong. That's not how it works here. Please see Wikipedia:Verifiability, especially where it says "The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material". The burden is on you to do this, not the people removing your unsourced material. If you persist in this editing pattern after the block has expired, you will be blocked again with a longer block than this 24 hours. I hope you choose wisely. --Hammersoft (talk) 01:34, 11 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

And despite the warnings and the block, you're still adding unsourced material to Empire (QueensrĂżche album). Why? If this persists, I will block you again. --Hammersoft (talk) 23:39, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

One of my fav albums. If you click on one of the singles from that album you can see it says recorded in spring 1990. Therefore, so was the album, so how is that unsourced info? Please tell me so I can further understand. It’s not like I added it was recorded in the year 1900. TPPDGuy (talk) 16:21, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Info is unsourced when you don’t provide a source, and a reliable one at that. — Garrett W. {☎ ✍} 03:17, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I also noticed that you guys deleted recording dates that I added to Mötley CrĂŒe‘s “girls girls girls” album. I took those dates directly from the albums liner notes which I have read. It’s right there in plain English. Some of us music enthusiasts appreciate knowing when something was recorded, not just when it was released. It’s a shame you guys are deleting that info. I have no intention of adding information that I know is not accurate. TPPDGuy (talk) 16:56, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia doesn’t rely on some nebulous sense of trust in its editors; rather, it relies on reliable sources being provided. Things are much more transparent and equitable that way. — Garrett W. {☎ ✍} 03:20, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK my guy. TPPDGuy (talk) 05:33, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There have been a number of albums that have been recorded well before they have been released. Some albums take years to complete. Simply because an album is released in a given year doesn't mean it's been recorded in the same year. Not providing a reliable source to support when an album recorded is not acceptable. We don't presume. --Hammersoft (talk) 11:47, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I did some more digging into this, and found that Silent Lucidity was updated in 2008 to indicate it was recorded in 1990 [1]. This was done by a now indefinitely blocked editor, and was done without a supporting citation to prove it. Part of the discussion that led to their blocking noted a lack of appropriate sourcing. See Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/IncidentArchive1047#Article_creations_by_Soul_Crusher. So you're trying to assert this album was recorded in 1990 by basing it, in part, on a now blocked editor known for a lack of appropriate sourcing. Further, per WP:REFLOOP, Wikipedia doesn't use itself as a citation source to support prose. So, trying to support this by noting singles indicating they were recorded in Spring 1990 is a non-starter. Further, there are only four of 11 songs on that album that have articles noting being recorded in Spring 1990. Even if those are correct (and we now know at least one of them is unsupported by a citation by an editor who didn't use appropriate references), it says nothing about the other seven. For all we know, those were recorded in 1989, or 1988, or who knows? We don't, and won't, without citations to reliable, secondary sources. --Hammersoft (talk) 15:46, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
