Your recent edits

[edit]

Hello, as explained in the big notes, I have reverted your recent edits to Do Dil Ek Jaan because you added significant number of additional details without condensing or removing details that were not as important. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and so we cover summaries of the plots. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 19:46, 2 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Warnings

[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at MasterChef India (season 6). Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. AllyJay50 (talk) 11:46, 16 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Plot bloat

[edit]

Hi there, re: these edits, though I know you meant well, the section is already way too long, so adding to doesn't help shorten it. If there's any way you can significantly pare that section down, it would be appreciated. Per WP:TVPLOT, the section should not exceed 500 words per season. Also, please avoid using needless parentheticals as this tends to look somewhat unprofessional and can be confusing. For instance, it's unclear to me, someone unfamiliar with the series, why the content reads "Mukku (Moksh)". Is one a nickname? Plesae use whatever the common name is. And the specific about the person's gender could have been incorporated much cleaner as shown here. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:48, 3 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Yeh Hai Chahatein, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Do NOT add long IMDb type descriptions. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a TV Guide or IMDb. CNMall41 (talk) 22:50, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Yeh Hai Chahatein. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. CNMall41 (talk) 22:16, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

'Consensus may determine that certain information does not improve an article.' Important plot and cast information does improve the article. This is necessary information present on Wikipedia for many other Hindi soaps that you keep on removing. I don't understand why this special rule only applies to Yeh Hai Chahatein for example go on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai or Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein Wikipedia the information is present but you keep on removing it because you seem to be of the opinion that it isn't needed. It will help many people who may have not previously watched the show to understand the story and the characters' relationship to each other.
'While information must be verifiable for inclusion in an article, not all verifiable information must be included.'I know not all information needs to be included but it wasn't that detailed either just a summary of the plot and important cast information. Just to note that wasn't my work but I added the other users' work back in as it was important.
I was not doing an edit war if you look at the changes I have reverted my own changes not anyone elses only the first one was yours and surely I do have a right to undo my own edits that was my work. TVLover99 (talk) 22:51, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
