Hello, Lopifalko
Thanks for your reply. Can I ask a question? Would it not be considered Wiki-worthy as his first song, a duet, Superstar, with Keyshia Cole was on her album, "The Way It Is" which, detailed on Wikipedia: "...selling 89,000 units in its first week, while becoming one of the ten biggest-selling R&B/Hip-Hop albums of the year. In the United States, it stayed on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for eighty-four weeks, and was certified gold by the RIAA within seventeen weeks, and then platinum only eight weeks later. The Way It Is was Cole's longest-charting album on the Billboard 200, remaining on the chart for sixty-four weeks in total and eventually selling over 1.6 million copies. The Way It Is also garnered Cole two Soul Train Music Award nominations for Best Female R&B/Soul Album and one for the album's fourth single, "Love" for Best Female R&B/Soul Single at the 20th Soul Train Music Awards in 2006." Then his second release was featured in the movie Hair Spray, also on Wikipedia. I did find other online publications that interviewed or wrote about him, his new albums, but did not know if they would be noteworthy enough for Wiki. Any suggestions? Hi. For whether the subject's chart positions or awards are enough to meet the bar for notability, please see WP:NMUSIC. If they apply, then they need sources. Other than that, the article requires multiple reliable sources that are independent of the subject, each with significant coverage of the subject. At the time I reviewed it, all sources were primary. Interviews do not count toward notability ass they are primary sources. -Lopifalko (talk) 19:31, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
